Aeverys was concerned-the work of the mines was being interrupted by rumors of plague.

They needed a scapegoat. Her forces were already beginning to remove Xeno encampments where they found them-so, if her oh-so-morally righteous brother decided they were a protected species, the seeds of hate and the cycle of retaliation would already have begun. There would be no stopped the extermination to come. This world was theirs-by right of strength. Eventually the Xenos would retaliate...and the Pancreator would give his blessings unto them to destroy them.

She decided a strong defense was going to be organized-wealth brings parasites seeking to profit...and, naturally the man who felt safe was inclined to be more easily controlled.

Giving firearms to her soldiers would be a marked increase over bashing away with clubs and pikes. She had recently been gifted with an antique firearm from the mayor of one of the mining towns-it was a beautiful, deadly weapon-well suited to her.

Actions.
1. Round up a bunch of Xeno Outcasts and criminals and publically execute them for spreading panic about the plague. Assure the people it is merely Xeno propaganda, designed to weaken our Spirit-and that future research will begin to see a marked decrease in illness.

Said action is part of a campaign to worsen our relations with existing Xeno tribes, to start a conflict we can profit from. Inform the church that I personally intend to pursue the crusade, but other members of our house have not yet been convinced.

2. Aeverys begins establishing militia defenders in every town-and an organized civil defense, with walls, pits, towers and gun emplacements. Begin rooting out dissidents-those with Xeno Sympathy, strictly Anti-Church Doctrine (most cults are fine for now) and those who do not support the divine rulership of their House. No killing yet, merely a campaign of pressure.

3. Have our house researchers research production of simple flintlocks firearms, and simple one-man flying glider wings-that can be used for recon of unexplored land and mapmaking.

Ahh, but there was a meeting soon-a neighboring kingdom. She wondered what they wanted. If he tried to threaten them, she was going to send his head back in a satin lined box. Delightful thought.

Aeverys put on full military regalia-including her beautifully crafted flintlock-and went to the meeting to attend.

Rigos was pleased by the simple but necessarily task he had completed, At heart he was still a pragamatic country man to do the tasks that were needed when they needed to happen. This attitude gained him favor in the old house and rather quickly. With his new roads he was able to bring wealth into the capital from the mines. Even as a show of favor Rigos worked along with the men appearing by their side when the work looked much too difficult.

He had heard word of another kingdom coming to visit but politics of that sort was better left to the Brother and Sister. He decided to be more useful and expand upon their existing resources and make the most out of their land. Aeverys made sure of the defense of the Villages. So...
Rigos uses the Militarized Villages as staging grounds for expeditions throughout House territory attempting to discover Pre-Fall Technology and Resources

"We must begin our education system. Send the same two regiments to build schools for our people. And we can't fight the Xenos like that. We need to show that we are Honorable. We shall do this crusade. As for the Leader, ask his terms. After the Schools are complete, work on a foundry, and later, a Fuel Processing plant. Begin research on tanks."

As for the power armor, it has Jetpacks, and the user generally stands at seven feet tall. Not too complex, but they work.

Time Stopped until Meeting is done...

You and Aeverys assemble in the Throne Room, it is a rather lavishly decorated place, Arras are covering the stone walls hiding the thermostats and other technological gizmos from the viewers eye, giving an Medieval Theme to the whole room. Malcador opened the great double doors and announced the Stranger.

My Lieges, the King of Enyoch.

he waited for the man and his personal guard of medieval knights to enter, then took his customary position to the left of The Throne.

Aevery spoke up as well. She wasn't about to relegated to a subordinate position.

"Indeed, speak your piece, friend. Let us get these tedious introductions out of the way, then perhaps talk business over a fine meal, if you intend to stay long enough to enjoy our hospitality."

"I am pleased to make your acquaintance, my name is Renard Alvos, as you know I am the King of Enyoch. I wish to speak to you regarding my land. I wish to keep it mine, and my people's thus I can not allow you to take the land, nor will I give it to you. Though this may be the case I wish to avoid a war, and save as many lives as possible for both of our people. Thus I have come to ask your demands, and then make my own. Now may we being ?"

Aeverys concealed her disdain. He should have attacked them, instead of trying to subvert the order of natural things with slippery diplomacy...

"The strong will yet prove themselves greater, King Alvos. Either you are stronger than us, or are you not. Which are you?

For, we have made no aggressive moves towards your kingdom, so you have little to fear now. But, my brother can speak more fluently than me on the advantages of trade and peace treaty..."

Malcador leans over and begins to whisper into Aeverys ear.

May i insist Mylady that you treat this man with a bit more respect? He might look like some medieval babarian but he is the King of more than 30 million people and can field more than 20 times the number of our men...we could propably defeat them due to our Power Legion soldiers, but this would be almost suicide, for him likewise, as for us.

Aevery laughed, pushing away Malcador.

"Excuse my bondsman for interrupting his betters, King Alvos. He believes we would destroy one another in battle. Is that why you have come to talk, rather than to fight?"

"I wish for no death in this time of great need. We have lost such great things in this time of darkness, and yet we still have the seeds to sow to regrow what was once here. If we envelop this planet in war then how long before other planets join into this war, and we slaughter ourselves once again? I wish only to advance technology once more to what it was, and beyond that to prevent a war that will once again nearly destroy the hopes we had of peace. I seek peace for peace's sake, do you do this, or do you so for your own benefit?"

Aevery qouted the Great Book.

"All our works are dedicated in the Pancreators name.

If he calls for a time of sowing, I shall pick up the plow, and be content.

If he calls for a time of a killing, I will pick the blade, and be content.

...and you know as well as I, Peace is a lie. The Universe inevitably culls the weak from the herd. We will eventually be forced to either destroy each other, or one of us will be subordinate to the other. So, talk peace, then-I welcome it. Perhaps there will be time to sow, after all. But do not bandy honeyed words in these halls."

Renard stood clam as he faced the woman, "This one is quite the Church Worshiper isn't she?" he thought before continuing.

"If that is what you wish then let us get straight to the negotiations as I fear we may not meet on a ground that suits both of us in such an argument."

Korv, the Captain of the Household Guards stood silently his vigil along with 11 of his brothers. all of them silent and seemingly uncaring to the happenings around them. But that was only due to their armors. Korv had indeed followed the discussion so far closely. The King clearly didn't have any plan apart from trying to fish for the goals of his liege. Meanwhile Aeverys was clearly showing her disdain for the king. But up to now his liege had stayed rather silent about the whole matter...

Aeverys noticed as well.

"Brother, will you speak?

I think everyone in this room can agree I am no peace-talker. We need your words on this matter."
