Aeverys
From your position you have a perfect sight on the underground hive of the Xenos. It is one of the stronger clans, the first one to fall under your crusade. Next to you High-Templar Brother Mactis steered at the Xeno positions through a prefall binocular. Silently he hands it over to you and points at the Entrance to the Colony...

" And, then he grabbed the Rogtar and screamed: GIVE ME MY GODDAMN..."
Ardis pretended an interested nod and turned away from Iriakis. The Guard Shifts had been damned long and Iriakis boring stories turned it into a torture. Ramming the point of his spear into the ground he used it to support his hands and his head. While Iriakis continued talking, his eyes slowly fell down...
The next moment he jumped. Something was wrong. " Iriakis did you hear that too?"
no answer, Ardis slowly turned around...

You can see the Scout cleaning his knife at the tunic of the other Xenos Guard before he gives the sign that all guards had been silenced.
Lady Aeverys, the Xenos will be unprepared when we attack. How shall we proceed?
"Inflitrate the areas where they keep the women, children and laborers. Begin killing them all...but only enough to draw what forces they have out. Keep the majority of our soldiers prepared to counter the attack with precision force. They will be disorganized, trying to save the innocents...cut them all down."
The Commander merely nodded. The comfort of a moonless night gives your troops an additional advantage as they move into their positions in front of the entrance. The Militia and Serf Regiments form up in 4 men deep line formations while the fanatics take positions in the reserve. On your sign the power-armoured templars storm the hives, your troops eager to see what happens stay silent. The radio of the Commander activates and as he sees your questioning look he turns up the volume:
Entering Xeno den.
Copied, proceed Brother Malcor.
Silence....then suddenly screams followed by incantations
IN NOMINE PANCREATORIS XENOS PURGAR!
you hear the screech of the fusion beams as their cleansing wrath is unleashed, followed by bluw lights emitted from the Den Entrance. More screams now louder
we have succesfully found something to a chamber for children several females had run deeper into the hives and alerted the rest of the beasts, we will now retr...
the call is aborted by static sounds.
Brother Malcor? Brother Malcor please report?
Again you see blue lights from the den, now getting brighter and finally you can hear the screeching of the fusion beams themselves and then you see the Templars as they charge outside and immediately to the sides out of the possible firing range of the militia troops. Behind them the Xeno emerge...Far more than you expected, and some of them are even riding on enormous bugs as it seems!
Immediately your Militias begin to Fire their first two Volleys. The seemingly numberless wave of Xenos can't be missed and the broadside rips a bloody swathe into the approaching horde as the massive bugs and the first groups of infantry are mowed down. The Xenos frenzied by the death of their children continue to storm forward relentlessly. They are now in range for your arquebuses. While those are having a devastating effect against the infantry the cavalry is completely unscathed, except where the riders where shot from their mounts. Barely in time your Fanatics move in front of your Arquebuses and brace for the impact.
A sickening loud crunch can be heard as the massive pincers rip apart the Fanatic Troops.
"Prepare firing lines! Kill them! Glory to the House! Glory to the Pancreator!"
You and several of your Officers, bring the troops to order and reform the firing lines which were broken when the Fanatics charged past them. The Arquebuses still take time to reload as your order massed volleys aimed at the massive beasts. This time the volley is less succesfull although the lasers cut down a good quarter of the beasts they still trample down the remaining Fanatics and continue their charge. Finally your The Serfs have have reloaded. Brother Mactis raised his arm.
SHOOT TRUE AND WITH PRECISION! TAKE THEM ALL!
he lowered his arm, heavy arquebus slug rounds and lasers cut into the approaching wave, the smell of sulphur and ozone attacking your nose. High-pitched noises herald the success of the volley but suddenly the form of the massive Xeno beasts break through the gun smoke. The Center of your Army is cut down as the massive bugs crush into them. Behind them the Xenos charge you in one broad front. But suddenly the grey smoke lights up as the Templars start their flank attacks. As the smoke finally clears, you cans ee that they have cut the Xeno host in half and are chasing them back into the hive, while the other half is charging your militia.
At the helm of the militia you order a counter-charge. Mounting bajonets on their Laser weapons they charge alongside you, several now bringing their flamethrowers to bear, with great success. Burning and screeching mounts bring disorder into the massed Xenos which however seem to be rather unimpressed by the attacks of the Serfs. The reptilians overarch your troops by a whole head and the sweeps of their clubs send Serf flying left and right. Merely the intervention of your Militia turns the tide and you eradicate almost all of them. One Remaining Xeno Regiment surrenders and is brought away by your remaining soldiers.
The only thing that still remains is the Xeno Resistance in your hive. The Templars have faithfully awaited your arrival and are now awaiting orders.
((OOC: QUick FYI: I and Dwarmin did the battle via pm, this proved a bit ungainly. Next time i will do it IN-thread....
