I'm fine wiht it. We also need to drop about 4k to outfit a stealth fighter.

Angle - It'll be safer this way, we currently have no point defense. We could order 4 turrets, give each ship 2. Then least we have a large amount of coverage. We can have it delivered while we get the work done.

Gotdamn - Good idea, how about a stealth torpedo bomber? A four torpedo hit would be a show stopper for sure.

That's fine. Having an EMP handy would be a good idea too. That way I could sneak up on anything not expecting it, and whatever the target it would be completely crippled and also structurally unharmed. Ripe for pickens. Yeah I'll be pretty personal with anything I fire on so big ass payload even if it is short distance or dumbfire will probably be pretty deadly.

I don't mean add, I mean upgrade them, so we have no light turrets left. We have the money to upgrade it all.. I think Jerick did it, and just didn't update the ship statuses.
Yup, a couple of long post in a row with a number of small changes to the ship status can kinda make you forget to do the obvious.

I'm fine wiht it. We also need to drop about 4k to outfit a stealth fighter.
3700c but you guys have to do the work of chaning the hull plates and replacing the engine yourself, which isn't too challenging to a crew that has in the past completely rebuilt fighters.

Just a note on EMPs: they'll only disable a ship (assuming it's not shielded against EMP) for a short while, however they can also disable missiles and fighters in flight.

Don't forget to add me to the crew roster, Jerick. Would my fighter have to be shielded for it to remain unaffected or would the distance I fire it from be fare enough to keep me safe?

Hmm, to stay in character...
- huge ass party/celebration: 1000 credits
- permanent luxury stuff (entertainment centre, spa, whatever): 2000 credits
- comfort upgrades (better cabins for privacy, softer chairs, interior design): 2000 credits

"Great idea Armok. Those beds aren't bad, but a nice soft one would certainly help on the long trips."
"Hey Angle, nice work asking Helios. I had totally forgotten about his contacts. Helios, any chance you can get us all the details on that job, I'm thinking the crew will be pretty interested in it."

Lets order up 4x Point Defense Battery, have our old friend bring them here while we celebrate. Two to each ship and mount our heavy cannon on the Firestar. Then to Braben Hall.

Lets sell stuff in the warehouse. See if our smuggler friend wants any? Sell it when we get to Braben hall if we can't here. Load the ships with everything else.
- Full of computers(only user interface devices left) and heavy machinery
- damaged cargo loader
- muon turret
- two 4 inch cannon turrets(light)
- four point defense turrets(light)
- one muon turret(light)
- one flak turret(light)

Jerick - I figure you missed the 6 medium turrets in the Flarewise list too? If your planning to update those things lemme know and I'll stop mentioning them haha.

The emp generator needs a lot of power to create the EMP meaning you have to have it aboard when you set it off so it can use the ship/fighters/shuttles reactor.
Naturaly that means your fighter would need to be shielded from it.

What's the best way to welcome a bunch of new crewmembers aboard: PARTY!
Armok arranges a massive party sparing no expense to try an cater for everyone.
He even buys in better stuff for people's quarters, entertainment gear and all kinds of things that can help the crew unwind.

You send word on a passing data courier with your order, it isn't long before a data courier returns informing you that he's on his way.
In other good news the machinary and computers fetch excellent prices on hungry Galvenn markets and the total sold reaches 11,270c
(Arrgggh! I thought I'd updated that, please keep an eye out for anything I've missed like)

Hmm... how do AIs party?
AIs deliberately crash sections of their subroutines, you can recover from it in a few hours with no real side effects but it's like getting really drunk.

How much would shielding and stealth cost? Are they generally both not added?

I think you guys should inquire with the local merchants about what's selling hot out in Braben hall, considering you are going there soon.

After about twenty minutes of chatter in the bar and a couple of "brandies" which probably never touched fruit, Alec begins the trek to his flat.

Absolutely classic, haha.

Lets have that stealth fighter modified so its shielded from an EMP. How well was it stealthed? It'll be worth 50k in a fighter so I rather it not be shot down..

Jerick - You put light turrets in the Flarewise status :P and can we get that heavy cannon turret mounted on the Firestar? Oh and put me on the Firestar's specialist list as an engineer or whatever is equivalent. Thanks, figured everyone else is actually a character I'd join in haha.

I think you are getting ahead of yourself. We haven't bought the plates or engine for a stealth fighter and it takes a full day to install those. I imagine we can add EMP shielding when we build it almost from the ground up. I'll treat her nice heh.
