Complete scan, launch a thether anchor.
Can we safely use our point defense guns to laser one of the airlocks open.(Not like natural 20, ship gone)
Anyway equip crew with advanced tools and smoke grenades, but let them disable/dismantle the turrets before going in.
The shuttle has no hull breeches, transponders, or active systems save for the comns array.
It's an old ship that appears to have reccently got a lick of paint.
You Tether it to prevent it from deciding to fly away.
Bear in mind the point defense guns exist to destroy things like this shuttle.
You can try but you would mostly do way more damage than intended.

Your crew float out to the shuttle in EVA suits, disconnect the turret and steal the missile from the enemy missile tube.
The shuttle is now disarmed.

Well, It's boarding time I guess( I kinda overestimated the shutlle size, or underestimated  the firestar)

I agree. Also, bring the enemy missile and turret aboard.

The Firestar's hanger is patheticly small for it's class but can still fit three shuttles.

I agree. Also, bring the enemy missile and turret aboard.
Ah, what I ment by disconnect was they cut the power and control circuits between the ship and the turret rendering it powerless and uncontroled, it's still physicaly attached
I should have been clearer on that.
And the missile was a hammer that they've already brought aboard and added to the rest.

After a quick bypass of the controls the airlock slides open.
The interior of the shuttle is dark and empty.
There is very little left except the bare minium for the shuttle to function.
It's cargo hold is filled with unmarked crates.
Your boarding team is about to check them out when the signal your virus was sending abrutly stops.

I think its a bomb but you guys can decide the move. Anyways I say some crew not dealing with the shuttle should build an arm for the drone for future cases where things might be trapped.

Quickly try to open a crate and see what's inside.

Bump.

Carefully examine the crate. Get everything not immeadiatlye useful out of the range of a possible explosion

Sorry I've been extreamly busy as of late (Christmas and all) and I'll have time to continue this properly after I get some time off.
But right now i suspose I have the time to post a long overdue update:

The crate is unlocked and opens easily.
Inside is indeed an unstable explosive compound known to explode if hit with enough g forces.
Most of the crew are firing the thrusters on their EVA suits and hurring away from the shuttle.
The shuttle's engine powers up and it's thrusters roll the shuttle, wrapping the tether cable around it's midsection.
Turning and twisting into a position where the cable crosses the main engine exhaust it fires it's engine at full blast.
The cable is rapidly weakening from the heat.
Additionaly you still have two crewmembers aboard the shuttle.

Have someone on the crew disable the ships computer( gently, no blowing it up yet). That should stop the engines(hopefully).
Aim the point defense turrets at the enemy ship, if it breaks lose, fire. We don't want an explosive loaden shuttle crashing into the ship.
Try to get the cable out of the fire by moving the ship.

Well you're currently a little away from the shuttle in a EVA suit with your smg (which uses caseless rounds which can fire without oxygen) and some cutting tools you where using to help get through the air lock.
How do you wish to procced with this daring rescue?

Are you sure you want to fire on the shuttle if it comes loose?
The explosive compound is unstable, the shuttle is close to the firestar and you have several crewmembers close to the shuttle (inculding Kestrel's guy).
