Demand their identity and surrender, again. If denied, open fire.
Is threatning to shoot harmless pirates survivors a crime?
Also, is the Cresent Dawn on a collusion course with anything or is it moving independetly

Yes it's heading towards a large chunk of ice.
It's damaged engines are firing ineffectualy in an effort to slow it down.
The pirates aboard the Cresent Dawn respond agreeing to surrender but the shuttles simply scatter, each one flying off in a different direction.
They're currently out of range of your point defense guns and too manuverable for your big railguns.
And no, threatening to fire on harmless pirates isn't a crime, actualy firing on harmless pirates on the other hand is.

The pirates who've surrender tell you they're the ebon bandits.
They have a 3245 bounty on their group.

Carefully fire the railguns at the ice. Use the momentum of the impacts to push the rock aside.
Also, how damaged are the engines? Do we need to call an intergalactic towing service?

Edit: didn't this ship have auto hull repairing robots, if so, activate them.

Nah that was listing the repair supplies it would be nice to have
Quote
As for battle repair supplies there are a few things you could do with
  • Armor Slab replacement: The front armor is modular and designed to be an expendable damage soak that's easy to replace. It might be a good idea to have a few replacements in storage (but most places don't sell huge slabs of armor built to fit outdated ships so you'll have to get them specially fabricated)
  • Crawler bots: built to seal hull breaches from the outside and fix hull plating and any other external issues
  • Spare raw materials: Spare wiring and structural supports can go a long way to keeping the ship running after taking heavy damage
If you have someting it'll generaly be listed in status or be something you're assumed to always have like basic tools and scrap metal.

The Cresent Dawn's engines don't appear to have any external damage but they can't seem to light the engines ethier.
If you can bring the Cresent Dawn to a stop you should just be able to call the client and tell them where to pick it up.

You carefuly fire some scrap at the comet which knocks off a lump of ice and spreads cracks straight through it, it's movement barely alters.

How big is this meteroid, if it's just small and made of ice and dust the Cresent Dawn should be able to plow right trough it. Also, how much time do we have till the colision.
Are the engine working barely or are the just nonfunctionall at all.

Scann the Cresent Dwan for a sign of a trap, then use the laser to melt part of the asteroid(The sublimating ice should create thrust).

Also is the sensor Chaff missele reuseable(since it doesn't explode) if yes, fire that too.
Questions first:
No the sensor Chaff missile isn't resuable because it spreads out the chaff over a large area by exploding (the chaff in this case is not radar chaff like today but more a thermal chaff that over loads the sensors with millions of rapidly oscilating heat and light emissions)
Wait, were any of the missiles we could buy before reusable? Because I would have suggested getting a Tether Anchor if it was. I mean, in hindsight, I kind of wish we had sprung for one, but it didn't seem worth it at the time since it cost more than an Interceptor and (I assumed) could only be used once.

Lets use our armoured bow to push the ice. Obviously the ship will be able to withstand the push, the structure of the ship is already built for taking high amounts of stress from that direction. I don't mean ram the spaceberg, come to it nicely then fire the engines. Then repeat for the Cresent Dawn

The Cresent dawn is 900 ton cargo vessel. That's quite heavy.
We should be able to push the ice away, it's not that heavy.

We can stop the Cresent Dawn, it may just take some time with our engines.

Scann the Cresent Dwan for a sign of a trap, then use the laser to melt part of the asteroid(The sublimating ice should create thrust).
The object is noticably larger than the Cresent Dawn and a lot denser.
The Cresent Dawn is large and heavy but contains corridors and cargo bays which means it's insides are mostly empty space, the object on the other hand is solid but cracked and you've got about ten minutes to impact.
The Cresent's engines are barely functioning and there is no detectable indication of a trap on the Cresent Dawn.
The lasers you have are short ranged point defense turrets and are intended for small targets, they couldn't possibly produce enough thurst on the asteroid to get it to move much.
Wait, were any of the missiles we could buy before reusable? Because I would have suggested getting a Tether Anchor if it was. Yes it is but you have to refill it with propellant each time.

Actualy the asteroid is heavier and yet easier to move than the Cresent Dawn.
The problem is that the Cresent Dawn has an awful lot more momentum and you have to push against the front of it without it smashing the Firestar to bits in order to stop it.

Then we should pull up beside the Cresent Dawn, match speeds and open our port exhaust vents! We will push it sideways so it can keep on drifting right past the spaceberg.

Matching speeds you pull along side the Cresent Dawn and push it sideways.
The grinding of metal echoes throughout the ship as the starboard plating of the Firestar begins to buckle under the forces applied to it.
The Cresent Dawn diverts past the asteroid as you push it.
It's engines again and again try to fire unsucsessfuly but at least it's not on a collision course with anything.
The side of the Firestar is scratched, battered and bent from brushing agaisnt the Cresent Dawn.

Alright, now that the danger is passed, let's call our client and start scavenging the battlefield.

Alright, now that the danger is passed, let's call our client and start scavenging the battlefield.
After transfering your reccent sensor logs to the client they agree to send a ship with security personel to reclaim and repair the Cresent Dawn.
They declare the contract sucsessfuly completed and will transfer payment as soon as they determine if the cargo was still aboard.
After a quick search you gather up 23 rounds of amunition that fit your cannon turrets, the remains of a boarding shuttle that might be salavaged and your trusty flak drone.
You also report in the pirate group you just forcefully disbanded you'll get payment for that when the authorities confirm it.

Noooo, my beautiful paint job!

Once we get paid, repair the ship. Let's see how much we made on this job net.
