Holy shit!
"URIST! See if you can hack their systems!"
Have the fighters continue to drift into them, they shouldn't have been picked up yet. Have the remote fighter shove its interceptor up one of their engines.

Fire the cannons! Fire the rail guns!

Hmm... I wasn't expecting to have to dodge missiles and hack military ships at the same time!  Attempt to hack into their systems.  Maybe mess with their point defense to give our missiles a better chance to get through.  Or maybe hit their navigation systems and force an emergency stop.  Or both, if possible.

Well that was sudden.

Agree with ansontan. Make them go boom.

Also try and get a record of them firing first, in case other people start asking questions.
Your computer records and logs your sensor data and comunications automaticly, you've got pretty convincing evidence they attacked without provocation.

Use the interceptors to kill the enemy missiles, then fire three ravenhawks at each enemy ship.

How long of a range do the enemy muon turrets have? If our railguns have a better range, close in and light them up.
A volley of interceptors fly from the Firestar's missile tubes.
The Ravenhawks try to dodge the fast moving interceptors and twisting twirling vapour trails mark the paths of the different missiles as they dance above Galvenn 3.
Three Ravenhawks punch though as the rest are taken out by the interceptors but only one manages to dodge the point defense turrets to slam into the Firestar's heavy frontal armour.
The sound of thunder rolls through the ship as the explosion shakes and rattles the Firestar.
A chunk from the frontal armour is blown off in the blast but the armour holds back the worst of it.
The Firestar retailiates with a volley of twelve Ravenhawks.
The enemy still has four missiles loaded and in defense fires their four cluster missiles, each releases five interceptors.
Again the skies high above Galvenn fill with the choas of missiles dodgeing and chasing each other.
This time the Ravenhawks can't make it through the swarm of interceptors.

Fragments of destroyed missiles litter the area as the Firestar ploughs forward.
The enemy advances as well flying in a formation that allows each ship to cover the others with it's point defense.
The hatches are closed on their missile tubes as they reload.
The Firestar reaches firing range first, two lumps of shrapnel strike the lead ship on the it's prow.
Metal spins off into space as the impact ripps into armour and hull plates.
It's launcher tubes which were mounted in the prow are demolished.
Despite the damage it advances with the other three ships.
Muon beams score the Firestar's frontal armour melting small holes into it.
Cannon fire from the Firestar pounds on the patrol boats breaching the hull in several places.

The remote fighter and the Knell drift torward the action outpaced by the Firestar as it powered forward into the fray they'll arrive shortly.

Hmm... I wasn't expecting to have to dodge missiles and hack military ships at the same time!  Attempt to hack into their systems.  Maybe mess with their point defense to give our missiles a better chance to get through.  Or maybe hit their navigation systems and force an emergency stop.  Or both, if possible.
You hack the enemy systems to intiate an emergency stop and introduce an incorrect variable to the targeting algorythm of their point defense turrets.
Suddenly the ships involentarily fire their reverse thrusters and the turrets begin turning to track something that isn't there.
It won't take them long to correct this.

Fire another round of 4 Ravenhawks quick while their point defense is down.

"Great work Urist! Helios, think you can lend hand and start messing with their point defense? Stop them from fixing it if you can.
We have an opening. We need to end this fast, fire more hawks! Keep firing everything else!"

Also when the fighters get close enough, and the enemy missile tubes open up see if they can fire into them.

"Great work Urist! Helios, think you can lend hand and start messing with their point defense? Stop them from fixing it if you can.
We have an opening. We need to end this fast, make that eight hawks. Oh and FIRE THE REPEATER CANNONS!"
"I can't promise anything but I think I can keep the their techs too busy to fix it. There, their ships are now reporting phantom fuel leaks in the engine compartments and severed powerlines leading to vital systems,"

Taking advantage of the opening the Firestar closes in and fires another volley of Ravenhawks.
This time the enemy hasn't reloaded their missiles and their point defense is rendered useless.
Two explosions hammer each of the four ships.
The hits tear their weak armour asunder leaving chunks floating space.
One of the enemy vessels has been stripped of it's entire port side and dirfts helplessly the other three blew up in a series of secondary explosions after the missile hits and a hail of cannon fire.

Your comunications are no longer jamed.

See if anyone is alive in the crippled ship.  Also, see if we can be of any assistance to the installation.

IF we decide to destroy it utterly,  fire a torpedo with 2 interceptors escorting it and trying to suck up any point defence.

Suddenly losing half the hull tends to leave few survivors but somehow you're able to detect several jettisioned escape pods.
The installations comns are down and you can't bring the Firestar down there to help them.

Don't utterly destroy it. Lets see if the fighters can get in close and see anything useful? Maybe there were point defense turrets on the intact half we can salvage.

Also I assume we can send out a long range emergency beacon or something?

The Muon beam turret is intact and the reactor is miracluosly undamaged pretty much everything else is junk.

Yep you can send a message or distress signal to anything in the star system.

Can the shuttle land at the base?
Yes but you left your shuttle with the Flarewise.

Lets send out that distress signal, probably to the ruling house, or the Military.

Begin work on salvaging the Muon beam turret, once finished with that carefully attempt to get the reactor. I assume the reactor is off though, so probably not to dangerous.
