Many, many cloth bins, as stated above.

Also, Giant Badgers, Tigers, Leopards, Lions, Desert Scorpions and lotsa wooden armour/weapons. I find it quite amusing when anything in general steps on a weapon trap loaded with 10 stacks of *oaken arrows*, passes out unconscious, and turns into a massive pin cushion.

Predominantly cloth and timber, as well as a fair amount of food, booze and seeds. They've yet to bring me any really awesome guard animals in the current fort, but I've modded them to use some metals so I get the occasional bronze rapier or spear.
Oh, and the odd bag of gunpowder as well.

Scowls, mostly. Apparently I screwed up while modding and items made of gems trigger their "You killed a tree! I'm disgusted!" diplomacy, even though my dorf is showing them a broadsword made of an especially shiny rock.

I don't usually pay any attention to what the elves bring as I slaughter any and all caravans that arn't dwarven. Helps train the military.

I'd like to do this, but it feels like an exploit since their parent civilizations do not retaliate. Free items, free kills and training, almost zero risk.

I was wondering, could you cage an entire elf caravan, then sell it to the next elf caravan which comes along?
