You greeted the Elven caravan when they arrived at your doorstep. Heh - your doorstep! Even though it's been a few months, you're still getting used to the idea of owning a whole fortress. Anyway, the Elves brought with them lots and lots of cloth, and... not much else. You traded useless rock crafts for what useful things you could find, though, and now have a hefty stock of drinks and seeds. In just over half a month, the elves had already embarked.

Meanwhile, LRCP and the other miner(s?) discovered a cavern system underground. This was to be expected, though, as this area was well known for surprises. The caverns had fresh trees, so at least it wasn't an unpleasant surprise.

Another troll, KLAFLI AMPORL, claimed a carpenter's workshop. You wonder what she could be producing.

It might be time to start settings up stone-fall traps. You've gone too long without some sort of hostile advance other than the mindless animal zombies.

You are now temporarily "BD" SKORUN, the most badass farmer in the entire fort. You're currently in the military bedroom, determined to get some peace and quiet before attempting to feed the newest wave of migrants:

-A 52-sweep blue-blood
-A 46-sweep blue-blood
-A 14-sweep yellow-blood
-A 43-sweep blue-blood
-A four-sweep young one
-A six-sweep maroon-blood
-A ninety-seven sweep purple blood

It looks like your GLORIOUS LEADER is pestering you.

Spoiler: Show Pesterlog (click to show/hide)

You are no longer "BD" SKORUN.

I notice the lack of overseers and wish to rectify this.

PUTNAM was right. Being leader is really boring! But you're determined to see the fort through for at least one year. You've created a new militia, composed of you, DRAGNA, "BD" and your best fighters, YFINDR and DARVI. For the last few weeks, you've been plundering the corpses of wild animals and ravaging the corrupted hearts of miasma-spreading zombies.

Meanwhile, the troll that was taken by a fey mood not only gave birth to three wrigglers but also went insane! She's currently babbling and running around the fort like a madwoman.

What are the requirements for a Got Tiger siege, out of curiosity?

um...

I think it's 140 trolls. Trust me, it won't be until way later.

You'll get ambushes at 80, though, I'm pretty sure.

Ah. I'm at 51 trolls, and I got my first liaison, so perhaps the next player will encounter the ambushes plus titans.

Actually I'm backing out, I don't think I could make the logs as interesting and entertaining as they are now.

>2nd Limestone, 414

A liaison from the Troll capital has arrived. A troll child is tugging on your shirt, asking who the strangers are. A few of the others are echoing the sentiment. Why are there Trolls here trying to sell us things? Aren't Trolls reclusive? Shouldn't Trolls be kept away in little hidey holes like us, not venturing in caravans and writing documents to bring back to the capital?

You now realize that 414 years has been too long. You were only born sixteen sweeps ago, but your parents - those who cared for you as a wriggler - taught you the history of your ancestors. Others, however, have not been so fortunate.

Perhaps it's time for a history lesson.

>Years into the past...

But not many.

...Just kidding, it was many years ago indeed.

You are now YMISTA UNNARR. You are currently playing a game called SBURB with your TWO FRIENDS and ONE ENEMY. You're venturing through the LAND OF ROPES AND CLOCKWORK. It appears your ENEMY is attempting to pester you. Guess you should respond.

Just like that, a fate worse than death had been wrought upon these four Trolls. But not just them - the SBURB crash affected everyone that was then trapped in paradox space. Humans, Trolls, other unmentioned races. Had the HEIRESS of YMISTA's session not already created a new universe through ectobiology, SBURB would have erased every player in it from existence. Thankfully, as a last resort, it flung them into YMISTA's created world.

You are no longer YMISTA UNNARR.

Over the years, the Trolls and humans learned to live alongside each other. But, in part due to no longer having access to most of their old technology in the new world, the Trolls had to begin sending out expeditions to new locations to find a more suitable capital. These expeditions would consist of seven Trolls - you included - that were deemed completely expendable. In a year, the capital would send liaisons to check whether or not the expedition members were all dead. That was often the case. The fact that your expedition managed to survive so long that you attracted new recruits is a genuine wonder.

After explaining this to the curious Trolls (many of them only half followed you, not being familiar with a "SBURB" or "ectobiology" or "session"), you traded with the liaison, and arranged to have them bring you weapons and weapon materials (both which you were lacking quality examples of) next year.

After sending off the Trolls from the capital, you give all 50 of the other Trolls from your fortress a celebratory party. It's truly a wonder that you all have survived so long.
