Yup, that's my question. How do you delete worlds? I have like 6 of them them and i only need to play off 2.

Go into [folder: data], then [folder: save], and delete whatever worlds you don't want :)

The game should not be running when you do this. You'll have no saves in your folder if you haven't generated any worlds, or you may be looking in the wrong folder.

Are you on Vista or Windows 7?
Is Dwarf Fortress in Program Files?

If yes to both, the saves are in C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\

It should be noted that this is because Dwarf Fortress is not designed to be installed in Program Files because it writes to its own directory - had you tried this on Windows XP with a non-Administrator account (which isn't allowed to write to Program Files at all), then you'd be getting all sorts of interesting errors when trying to generate worlds.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.
