OVER [Giveaway] Towns x3
« on: December 04, 2011, 08:29:03 am »

Both drawings were done by using Random.org's list randomizer
Winners:

Towns drawing:                 Terraria:
1) agentorangesoda           1) scriver
2) ansontan2000               2) Empty Empty gave up his copy and the new winner is Walter Sullivan
3) getter77
4) Crunch
5) Japa

Codes are being sent now. It's my understanding that they are redeemed on Desura. Congrats to the winners and I hope the others will ask for a copy of Towns for this holiday season.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone may join this one. There once was this great indie that suffered as a result of being inspired by DF. Despite the fact that it was quite different, many people wouldn't give it a chance. The game recently entered into paid development with a huge leap in design and gameplay. I always like the idea of it before, but with the 0.37 version I finally feel like it's a game and the dev team tells me they are just getting started. I know that many of you don't like the idea of paying for beta access so here is your chance to get the game(and it's future versions) for free. The generous SMP team have donated 3 5 copies plus 2 copies of Terraria!

To enter, just leave say so in a post here. The winners will receive a code to redeem on Desura or a Terraria key by private message here. You may give or trade your prize however you like. Contest ends @ 0900 EDT (GMT -5) December 5th, 9th!
ATTENTION: I don't normally do this but I am extending the contest until Friday at the same time 9am EDT(GMT-5). Why you ask? Because I have an additional 2 copies of Towns and 2 copies of Terraria to give away!!!!
Good luck and thanks again to Alex and the SMP team!

I'd like to join in on the giveaway. Towns seems promising, but I have no money to spend on getting it.

Sure, I'm in. Always looking for building-sim type games as something to get the kids into gaming.

I've been looking at Towns for some time now, never got around to trying it. Been the poor bastard that I am, I'm always up for receiving free things that interest me! :D

Yeah, this was really generous of the team. My understanding is that they went paid so they could afford to devote more time to it's development. The last 2 versions have exponentially increased the game's size. I should also point out that right now they are getting much of the direction from their forum members. So if there is something you have always wanted in a game, why not head over and tell them?
