I got into the in-dev~  Had to paypal directly as kickstarter is Amazon based, and Paypal is an eBay company and thus in direct competition with Amazon and not accepted.  I'm applying for a Paypal Debit card though, which is a Mastercard and thus legit for anyone who accepts Mastercard.

Now let's see how dwarfy we can influence the direction of development :3

See if you can get the Dev to impliment Mass Drivers that'll allow us to send thousands of Tons worth of junk at enemy planets as a sort of long-range siege warfare..

That, or at least allow us to make a race of short, hairy humanoids with a love of industry and hatred for anything tall and pointy-eared.

That's weird, because when I ordered a tonne of books off of Amazon, there was a little "pay by paypal" option, which I used.

Hmm, not sure, but Kickstarter didn't allow Paypal, and a quick google revealed that a lot of people couldn't Paypal through Amazon, with one thread in particular dated to 2008.

The kickstarter has reached 200% funding, seems there's some amount of interest in the game!

I'm glad I ended up backing this! I can't seem to get enough of customizable space combat, but none of the games I've actually played are exactly what I'm looking for. Perhaps this is closer! And it actually had a chance of being successful, unlike Nexus 2 (unless there's an absurdly generous soul out there somewhere...)!

The space combat, should be very satisfying, if they keep to one of their chief inspiration, Escape Velocity. The EV series had twitch based arcade feel combat, that was pretty simple, but stilled allowed for skill. It also made the improvements for the ships matter.

(Though, with that great game franchise being on of their inspirations, you'd think they would have a Mac port...)

just found this on steam for preorder it looks so sweet like distant worlds but with multiplayer and better ship design!.

I'm hesitantly interested, but it's probably going to be an eyes-only thing for me for the moment. Maybe I'm still sore over that steaming pile of mediocrity titled Endless Space.

So it did not get released in June 2012? I thought half a year was too short a time frame, but I do hate to be right in this case.

Just been playing it this game is beautiful !

Ship building I love it, now normally I hate it with a passion in 4x games but in this one it's really simple and cool to build your own ships.


Right now research is a little lacking but hopefully the dev will pour out loads more in releases.
