The Mario RPG combat, Avellone's deconstructionist streak, and Matt and Trey's usual humor makes me think of a WRPG version of Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden.

*edit: Avellone isn't involved in the project.  My interest is significantly decreased.

Apperently there are screenshots in GameInformer, I'm sure they'll make it online soon. It's said it looks exactly like the cartoon as it's fully 2D using art assets directly from the show. Sadly Avellone isn't involved - but he'd be wasted anyway as Stone and Parker are the writers on this. Avellone, Sawyer, and other writing staff are off doing another unannounced project.

Are they still making new episodes of the South Park cartoon?  It seems like the type of thing that would have unceremoniously ended by now.

indeed, and thats a rare thing  with commedy.

some of the more recent episodes are my all time favorites.

So about 9 hours? Sounds about right for a RPG I think.
