I just noticed that many mons in the wiki need their tags updated and their category fixed. I will work on that tomorrow.

EDIT:
Quote
-Learn- Surf
1. Peck
2. Harden
6. Beat Up
8. Water Gun
9. Splash

Why does Uncarp start with surf? Seems a bit owerpovered. If thats supposed to mean it can learn surf then it should probably be changed so that its not taking space in the moveset. Moves that can be taught only should be in their own section IMO.

I have used -LEARN- or Start to mark moves that will be known by a mon obtained at level 1.

This pure mountain spring water is indispensable. Literally. I'm out of paper cups.

Any move that isn't learned at a level is a move that can be taught.

Yeah, I think it means it's a specific HM it can learn. I don't think people have gotten round to TM's yet because that's 50ish moves you need to cover for each mon.

One can define which HMs a mon will be able to by their body type and elemental type.

For example, Uncarp would not be able to learn Surf as it is rather small, and probably couldn't hold or tow a human.

Boatmurdad would not be able to learn surf as it's a ghost, and it's fire type.

Urwhal would definitely be able to learn Surf; it's a water type; it's of a size large enough to carry a human.

Bluerobin, do you still remember how to go about adding tiles into the game using advance map? I can't seem to find any tutorials on the internet, and obviously I haven't figured it out myself. Mind helping me a bit?

Yup, I think I could talk you through it if you want. I'll hang out in IRC for a while tonight.

I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Uh... Whu?

...I was trying to connect to irc.newnet.net ... unless it's supposed to be another server?

*Facepalm*

I meant IRC... chat thingy. What you use to communicate with the IRC channel. Try switching to a different one if it isn't working.

Generic instructions are: Get an IRC client (I'm not sure if newnet.net has a browser-based one, but it might, I use mibbit), plug in irc.newnet.net as the server and #Bay12Dwarfomons as the channel and hit connect.

Might be useful: text file of the background and behavior bytes for advance map

I think it's incomplete and I think a lot of it might already be integrated in AMap, but eh. I'll link mapping tutorials that have information about mapping bridges if/when I find them.

Thanks for the help Bluerobin. Of course now I realize that I need to add in many more tiles, but at least I know how to add them in.
