I wary of trying to do some of the backsprites, because (1) not enough experience (2) different author = different feeling (3) I don't know if I can do it right :P

No one cares. Seriously. Try your best, but something is better than nothing. If we come to the end and decide its not good enough, THEN we can go back and change. What's important is progress.

Aye, as long as it's recognisable as what the bayomon is, it's all fine.

If the Rom is stable and quite playable, this may get me to play Pokemon for the first time in many years. =)
If thar be any bugs, I'll report em.

I was working on the crundle mon. Because I'm a cheating bastard, I flipped the head, reshaded it and am now working a making some horns. Only the horns are probably original. >.>

I hope you don't grade for plagerism.

Should be done by the morrow.

It's all bugs at this point :P

And really, there's not much in yet. You can play the regular game, mostly, with one of our starters though

Of course not! Plenty of spriters cut corners. As long as Crundill's backsprite looks like its frontsprite from the other side, then it's all good.

I don't cut corners. I toil away for hours and hours, and then realize "shit fuck I should have cut that fucking corner it would look exactly the same and I'd be done by now". I'm also terrible at sprite manipulation, of course, so attempts to cut corners often don't gain me much.

So don't be me. If you see a corner you can cut to make the sprite better and faster, do it (especially if you can conceal the fact that you cut the corner, and backsprites make that easy)

I'm tempted to try to make a front and backsprite for Medeor, as it seems like the only one I might even have a shadow of making.

Also, Ironhand's gone for now, he's working and has other commitments, so his contribution isn't likely to continue. Ah, well.

You can see how bad I did it. T_T

That's the first draft. Things to fix? Unless I have to throw away everything, in which case I'll just leave it.

EDIT : It seems to be a tad small... compared to stuff like Pichu.

It's way too low, it will barely come up above the menu bar. And yeah, way too small.

Oh, I was thinking of Wailord, and I realized that Wailord has a backsprite that fills the whole screen but only has the tip. D:

Okay, back to the drawing board...sometime.

Apart from the sizing issue, I think it's pretty good. :)

I would say that it's a great backsprite, just that it needs resizing. That's the ONLY thing wrong with it; the rest is great!
