Hmm... good point. Maybe drop Grass alltogether? We'll need new names. Or we could have it be grass-psychic instead of grass/ghost?

And if its a creature of magic, it's not really undead, so it's not really a ghost. So just pure psychic, except for the fire line which is psychic/fire?

Okay, how about this:
Grasauk - Grass/Psychic
Sodpoppet - Grass/Psychic
Saukriboo - Psychic/Ghost (Since less focus on the sock at this point)
Charsauk - Grass/Fire

So we've got another Perlihorn style type splitting going on. That could be fun.

I don't think so, given the proliferation of dark types in this game (undeads).

There are types that are under-represented so far in our list. Grass would be one of them, imo.

And ghost sort of represents anything that's incorporeal, really. Okay, see modified line above.

No, I'm pretty sure the spirit controlling it would count as incorporeal, not solid.

The sock might be solid, but that's where the grass type comes in.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Grasauk, with eyes

Sodpoppet with arm

Sodpoppet without arm

Which one of the two Sodpoppets are better? IMO I think the armless one is better...

How 'bout the Grasauks?
Here's the original.

Oooh, fancy! I like the eyes being in the shadow- kinda a Parasect thing where the mushroom is the real mon, the rest just looks like a separate thing. I also like the armless one better.

I'm for the one with no arms. It looks best, imo.

If Baro can make a romhack on his own, with sprites, redone maps and story and everything, then we can too.

We're all newbies to romhacking, so we're learning as we go along.

It's basically going to be a Bay 12 (with references to DF, Liberal Crime Squad, among others) Pokemon game.

Currently, we have roughly 90 Bayomon, of which four are complete and in the rom, and a good 50 have at least some sprites.
We're also writing the story; which is being done by me, Furtuka and Darvi, after brainstorming sessions with USEC, GlyphGryph, Monk and others.

We have a reward system, whereby anyone who can give us a sprite for any Bayomon that's missing one will make a cameo ingame as a battle-tower style trainer. Hence, if you do a sprite, you can be in the game.

We're in dire need of spriters, and people who know how to romhack (Currently we've only got a few; Bluerobin, Glyph, Darvi and a few others).

We *might* be replacing cries if it doesn't prove to be too difficult.

So feel free to join in. Concept art for Bayomon ideas is always welcome...

And find out more by looking at the Pokemon Orthoclase and Microcline Wiki.

Ooh, do I get a cameo then? O_o

Also, what would Saukriboo look like?

Probably a more ghost-like sock with a beret and a silly moustache.

@Reudh
Ghost like... so, with a less definite outline, I guess?

@Anyone
What I would think the bayomon would evolve:

Grasauk
Sodpoppet OR PigTailSock[3] (temp)
Saukriboo         !!PigTailSock[3]!!

Because, to be honest, the sock-puppet is hard to draw D: Tripled socks are probably easier, on the other hand. Still not sure about the fire. Do we have ROM hackers? Maybe I should try and learn.
