Giving it a try. Should be up in 10-15 minutes.

I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Ok, gave it a whirl. A version with red eyes and one with white eyes.

I think it could use a little darkening around joints (and maybe overall... it seems too bright now that I'm looking at it outside of gimp), but I need sleep so that's where my version's at now.

I think I like the white eyes more. I feel like the shading is a bit off, but overall I like it.

And welcome to the thread, good sirknight!

Hehe I really like it. I hadn't thought about the "See" in Seegle, really, but that makes it very obvious. I might tweak the moveset a bit to incorporate some eye-based moves. Oh and maybe they should be immune to accuracy reduction, being blind and all?

Keen Eye I think is immunity to accuracy loss.
Compound Eyes increases accuracy...

As for Sirknight, those concepts are EPIC.

Kinda nervous about this, but I got a suggestion. Maybe have Cat-2's ability as Plus/Minus? It kinda seems to fit with the theme of it, being one/two beasties. Shame to give it a flavour ability though...

And maybe giving Cat-Clowd Truant? Kinda to reflect the lag which it causes?

Just vague ideas, hoping I'm not torn to pieces...

Haha don't be nervous about suggestions, the worst that can (or at least SHOULD) happen is other people disagree and hopefully explain why. We always want suggestions, it helps make the creative parts of the project easier.

As for your actual suggestions, I kind of like the plus/minus thing since if you're farming Cat-2's for sale to the cook you'll have multiples around anyway. Not sure about truant, but it could be good. The only thing is the Slag/FPSnail mons already have Truant and a lag theme, so we might want to go about it a different way with the Cat line, maybe with Static for paralysis? *shrug*

Indeed, Truant is annoying on anything. Throwing out another idea, maybe Own Tempo as a second ability? Kinda difficult to confuse that many beasties at once.

I really like the plus/minus thing. What with being electric cables, it really fits as well.

Good idea!

Though speaking of double battles, we really should put a bunch more of those in...

I thought about the +/- thing, but dismissed it because then we'd have to give them both at the same time which frankly violates common sense.

Hmm? What do you mean, and why? It's just a 50% chance to be plus or minus for each one.

There's already a pokemon that has exactly that.

They don't have both abilities at once?

Huh.

Klink's family. I keep thinking of Plusle and Minun instead.  :P

On another hand, I got a couple ideas for stats, if that's OK? This all seems very..... big.

Sure, go ahead. Most of us are too lazy to do the stats ourselves.

It's big, but it works because we all cut it into small pieces and do our own things.

If you have an idea for stats, check the wiki. Feel free to add stats for any 'mons that don't have them - don't even need to ask for that. For those that do have stuff already, probably worth a conversation, but plenty of 'mons don't!

And if you ever want to actually work on the coding and whatnot...
