I like them! I'm gonna see if I can make the changes.

*checks out the ROM*

I added some more to the Mayday Town plot-centric bit. I'm working on the random people, going along with Pokemon there's usually the mother / sister of rival, mother of character, helper of professor, two randoms, right? Assuming the same layout.

I keep wondering. Usually there's three buildings in the starting town: the char's home, the rival's home, and the lab.

So... where do these random characters live?

The woods, where they sleep in terror of the murderous Mons who roam the night.

Alternately they're visiting from the underpopulated cities, whatever.

So, I think I'm going to take a wild detour in my spriting fun and start doing some trainer sprites.

Okay, so that's not really all that wild. Whatever. :P

Bluerobin, are you still working on the ROM? I was thinking of doing some stats for some more of the mons.

Blah, my internet's giving me issues and I broke the ROM trying to add different responses based on which mon you pick (apparently they're all energetic in fire red) so I'm giving up for now. I should be do it without too much issue, I was just trying to use the events already present instead of adding new ones and it failed partially. Ohh well.

Somewhere, there's a town full of empty sleeping quarters.

Dibs on the Urist sprite.

Darvi, I'm not sure entirely what you mean by the Urist sprite? :P

What work has been done on Trainer Class brainstorming? By my count, Gen I had 28 classes (excluding unique ones like Champion.) I'm REASONABLY sure we haven't done that much work on it yet.

Also, I'm chilling in IRC if anybody wants to throw ideas around.

Okay then, I'll make sure not to sprite any dwarves called urist... :/

:P

On the other hand, dear god the sprites for trainers are a lot better than the sprites for the pokemon. I'm not even sure if I'm good enough to pull these off. Here's hoping, though!

I'll talk about trainers in IRC

Hey! I just thought of something.

Does everyone here remember that exploding/collapsing ground bug from a few versions back? What if there was route or city or town that suffered that at one point in the game? (If it can't be coded in as an event or whatever, it could just be a location where the ground's imploded already). Unfortunately, I can't code, so I couldn't really contribute to it except in a capacity as an ideas provider.
