So...many...bad...puns! :P

How about renaming the Tome Stone the Tomb Stone?

and you find it in a small, wild-west style town (two puns, one stone)

Looking much better. The biggest problem with Perlihorn from what I say last night was that the hair was really weird and looked like it was coming out the side of its head.

Are you guys still gonna do the whole Unown -> ASCII pokemon idea? I thought it seemed pretty awesome.

Which sprites are unused? My spriting skill is quite rusty.

Actually, if you want to do BACK SPRITES we'd be super happy. Many of the sprites we've done already still need back sprites. Again, though, check the wiki + repo to see what does and doesn't exist yet.

It's good to mix up the facing direction a bit. They face both directions in vanilla... actually that's something I should do when I redo my monkey sprite.

I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

They do normally have their actual face turned towards the enemy Pokemon, though. It'd be sweet to have that same body orientation, but his head turned.

@Warhammer, That looks pretty good to me! The hair is still overflowing a little bit on top of the head (almost a pony afro) but the back sprite is spot on. I approve of the sparkles.

Not that I'm in much position to critique sprite art, but there it is, for what it's worth :P

RE: Whetstone- we COULD just have it evolve BOTH steel and water types...

What I said is honestly just a guideline. Forge Stone I imagine will work on fires and steels, depending on the type.

And I really want to do a steel mon that requires both - Forge Stone and then Whet Stone.

Also, facing is like a 1 second job to change anyways, if it doesn't look right in game.

Magma elephants! I think when we talked about these, they're the "pre-evolution" forms of the Boatmurdered line. Magamatte->Boatborn, Magaphant->Boatforged, Vulcaphant->Boatmurdad with the Tome Stone possibly? The two families learn moves at the same levels and they learn the same-ish kinds of moves around the same levels, with the magmaphant line being more offensively geared.

These guys are interesting. Living/undead elephants. Living has a little bit more defensive stats, undead is a bot more offensive. The undead isn't really an upgrade, just a side-grade, so I could see both of these appearing wild. I'm not sure about Mr. Tusks's ability, though.

As always, input's useful and appreciated.
