Waha! I'm BACK!

Well, I mean I was always around, I just didn't have my computer at home and thus couldn't work on the project... and now I do!

Wooooh!

Darvi, it's beautiful! I love it!

Reudh, how's the dialogue and story coming for the first town?

Pretty well. I'm still at a loss as to how to upload to the Bay12Dorfomon github though. :S

I like it Reudh! The "you foolish child" line seems a little harsh, but other than that I like it, especially the mon descriptions.

And Darvi, I like your sprites too, but I'm not sure about the shadows. They're good to have for sprites in general, but I think the pokemon games automatically add a blob shadow to most sprites, so yours will have two shadows. I think. Other people may need to confirm, but if that's not the case we should probably add shadows to the other sprites too.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Not a problem really. I put shadows onto a different layer anyway.

Reudh, I really like it! I especially like the pokemon descriptions!

And like I keep saying, don't add it to the github repo, just create an account and add a page for it in the wiki! :P

Just as a note - I proposed the Mayday town idea, because most people I know started with the Mayday graphic pack and packages graphic version back in the day. Do you guys still think that's a good idea, or do you have a better name for the town?

I'm not sure. I started on ASCII, then moved to Phoebus to rest meh eyes. :3
Mayday town sounds pretty cool though. That reminds me, if there's any new logs I need to download them.

Meh- I'm a hardline ASCII man myself, but that is neither here nor there.

The real question is whether we are doing theme names for the towns- if every name is just a random reference based on the town, then I've got no beef with Mayday. If we are doing a theme (DF crops maybe?), then it would make more sense to adhere to it.

Make the town names randomly generated.

Aharharhar.
