Having the phantom spiders as a second line might work as well.

Although I should add that almost all evolutions with the Tome Stone are almost always sideways changes rather than increased power changes. It could even, technically, be weaker.

Edit:
Oh man, awesome idea!

A 'mon that has a CIRCULAR evolutionary line! Stones allow you to change it's form whenever you want, rather than having to commit to a particular element. You can get a good cross section of powerful moves by shifting it back and forth at the right levels, even.

If I remember correctly someone once told me that evolving can revert the stats or something like that and that's why you have to be cautious about evolving at high levels? I'm pretty sure I didn't say it right. But anyways that might put a damper on that idea if it turns out to be correct.

Too bad formes only truly showed up in 4th gen

EVs do not reset due to evolution.

Okey dokey.

Suddenly I am reminded of the old glitch pokemon's endless evolutions. Has absolutely nothing to do with this but it's a funny thought

That's a good idea, but it'd only be doable outside of battle and you could run into a lot of pointer errors...

Not only that, but you'd have to modify this stone in particular to be sold at stores. I guess that could be done.

And as GlyphGryph said, EVs do not reset due to evolution. Nor do IVs.

(For the layman, EVs - effort values - represent how hard a pokemon has worked through its lifetime. A high EV pokemon will get better stat gains at levelup. It's why a Rare Candied level 100 will be weaker than a normally trained level 100.
IVs are like genetic values. The average pokemon has roughly a 50% chance of inheriting one of six IV values from the parents, which can range from 1 - 31. 31 IV on a pokemon is immensely rare- only with extreme luck or a very intensive breeding program will you find a pokemon with 31 on an IV. I was lucky when I caught my Crobat back in Sapphire- i calculated it to have 29 IV in attack, which is superb.)

Spite            17
Fake Tears       21

Was working on Fire Imp and Spirit of Fire when I had free time today, decided to put up my tenative list so you can make fun of it before I finalize it tomorrow.

EDIT
By the way, Fire imp is only FIRE type (and needs a name) and Spiriblaze is FIRE/FLYING type (but can't learn fly)

Hmm... I like it. Note many pokemon learn a move at that high a level, but some variety is nice. I always thought some pokemon learning end game moves would be cool.

Spiriblaze is a nice name, but did you not come up with one for the Fire Imp? Maybe Hellionett? Pyresprite?

Because spirits of fire can fly, I imagine.

Yep. I thought that most people wouldn't want to fly on a burning man, so I cut that, but for other purposes it is flying type.

Pyresprite?
+1
That sounds like a good name. I suck at making names, and I couldn't come up with one for the Fire Imp. I'll add these tenative entries to the wiki before I sleep.

Make sure to add your stuff to the github wiki or else it will probably be forgotten.

Already Created their pages, I'll add their moves tomorrow.

EDIT: I noticed that microcline isn't up. Are we going to wait to start working on that, or should I upload a "Leaf-Green" rom along with a Microcline mirror and save?

Microcline will be split from Orthoclase once we start adding stuff that's actually different. It won't be off of Leaf-Green - any and all changes between the two would be overwritten by ours!

Easier just to work off the same ROM and split it later.
