What do people think of the name "Mayday Village" as the starter town?

Should we have an intro tutorial given by Cap'nDuck?

How about Professor Toady?

If we go with having Toady as the professor I propose we have him as the postgame bonus boss

Why not? Oak was to be a bonus boss at the end of Blue/Red version :D

I am very much in favor of this- alternately, Toady IS the regular boss. Making Scamps the postgame boss.

Ok. That HAS to be in the game somewhere. I'll make sure it happens.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

I've already come down heavily on the side of "Professor Tarn", as you're all aware. Especially since we've already worked out a good chunk of his dialogue, I assume that's what we're doing. :P

Meet Tssss

Type: Normal
I'll even go his moveset for you guys:
Lv1: Self-Destruct
Lv5: Leer
Lv10: Scary Face
Lv20: Screech
Lv25: Mean Look
Lv30: Explosion
--Learns-- Rest

Clearly its an exploding cactus Mon, in our desert area. Also found there are Giant Desert Scorpions, Nightwings, and Camels( 1 hump -> 2 hump?)

As far as Tssss goes, is he pure Grass? I think he might be pure Grass.

Nope, he's normal type. For STAB. Updated last post with moveset.

What about Endure? Chance to survive any attack with 1 HP, which may give it a chance to explode.

Also, I see this thing as a pain in the ass to catch. Needs a low-level normal move, like tackle.

It needs nothing of the sort. It's supposed to be a pain the ass. That is its sole purpose. It's low level normal move is Leer :P

I have a feeling that it'll probably be impossible to catch without a ghost type.
Also, I second endure.

You just have to make sure you run into them between level 25 and 30 so they don't have selfdestruct or explosion!

:P

(you can fix this by swapping leer and selfdestruct if you want. wild mons always know the last 4 moves they learned when you encounter them)

Speaking of which, moveset has been changed to
    -Learn- Rest
    1. Self-Destruct
    5. Leer
    10. Scary Face
    15. Self-Destruct
    20. Screech
    25. Explosion
    30. Mean Look
