Y'know, I'm seriously contemplating getting in on this thing. Although my spriting skills are non-existent (unless you count recombining existing sprites into new things. And I'm not even very good at that.), so I don't what I could help with. Anything that needs doing? script-wise or anything?

Scripting and the like is currently the thing we need the MOST of. Spriting is mostly handled. At the very least, those sprites need to be moved into the game proper, which I don't think is complete yet.

Also, starting next week, I plan on reinstituting the weekly Friday meetings. They really gave us focus. Even if I'm the only one that ends up showing up, it means I'll be dedicating time to this exclusively for the duration, which is a good thing. Also, I don't know if I'll be going back into board hiatus or not - the puzzle is still closing in, pieces are moving and whatnot, so who knows if I'll be able to finish it before I'm lost to the board again. However, as long as we're doing a weekly chat, that's really all I need to continue - it was always WAY more productive than the thread anyway.

Wait. When you say scripting, do you mean scripting as in 'those little pieces of code which basically act as scripts for events', or scripting as in 'writing dialogue'. 'Cause I'm no good with the first one.

Anyone can do the first one with a bit of effort. The hard bits have all been set up for you with convenient tools, it's just... ugh, gruntwork, that needs to be done by someone with windows (damn you, tool-makers!). There are SOME bits that actually require technical knowledge, but those can easily be left for others.

But we need the second part done as well. Many of our locations and dialogues are not fleshed out in the least. That's pretty much happening on the github wiki, so feel free to go at it. If you're making major changes to existing dialogue, probably good to bring it up here first, but honestly most of it can be improved. We only have the vaguest of plotlines for most locations, and a lot of it really needs to be better tied in even where we have it.

Did you say plot? I loooooooooooooove plot. And exposition. I'll probably get started tomorrow. Need a bit of time to recover from my first day back at school. (It was surprisingly exhausting for a day where nothing got done.)
