Okay, I did some research, and while there are map editors in the works for the DS pokemon versions, they don't work yet.

Again, hopefully this comes off as constructive, I really like the overall flow of the path and it's just the tiling that needs practice. I'd actually advise against passing it off to iceball. Keep it to yourself and work on it (iceball, feel free to take a look at the layout of Headshoots that Glyphgryph posted/uploaded and work on that instead if you have time/want to map :) ). Feel free to keep posting updates (assuming others are ok with it) and definitely feel free to PM me. I'm going to be out of town for the next two weeks, but I'll have email/internet access so I should get back to you within a day.

Edit: oooook... this got really long. Oh well, deal with it. :P I added an edit into the z-levels part about stairs too, so look for that if you didn't see it.
Yes, exactly all of this.
...Now I gotta figure out what how should i be doing with the github system so I can upload something without messing up. I'll freely do the headshoots map I guess, I'll work on it some tonight and such if I think I know how to github correctly.

Flamewheel is low/med power move, it should be learned before the powerful Flamethrower move IMO. Mayby change their places? I didnt see anything out of normal in the other movesets.

The Toad hops in mysterious ways.
This pure mountain spring water is indispensable. Literally. I'm out of paper cups.

With our world map, Nist Akath should be a later gym imo. It'd be possible to block it off a la the sudowoodo from GSC or via. HM use (rocks blocking the path, etc)

So while Johuotar and I were brainstorming ideas, we decided how one is able to catch the demons we originally planned as legendaries.

Alright. So you remember the nobles who we have planned as a fetch-sidequest? As in, keep giving them their demands for pitiful reward, then murder the final one with a 'Unfortunate accident via a lever' and you get his 'rare and unique pokemon' (Mandatie)?

My thought was looting his room also gave you four adamantine orbs, as in masterballs.

Also, we decided:

Pathogenesis, is a sort of a town, but has a tower. This is where the big bad resides. (We already established this.)
As a floor boss (perhaps optional), we have the possessed leaders of Goblins, Elves and Humans. We also have the possessed "Grand High Imperial Dungeon Master", or GHIDM. Each is possessed by a unique demon.

To progress to the next floor, you will have to do something, not sure what, but if you elect to defeat them, they will yield a demon somewhere in the room. These demons can only be captured through the adamantine orbs, as they have a catch rate of 1 (the most difficult pokemon in the actual games have a catch rate of 3), more or less guaranteeing only being able to be caught by the adamantine orbs.

Floor One would be the Goblin Chieftain. He'd likely have ground and poison types. Defeating him would yield a demon that is one or both of these types. These demons would then be encountered as a legendary battle.

Floor Two would be the Elf Warlord. He'd have grass and/or water types. Defeating him would yield another demon that is one or both of these types.

Floor Three would be the Human King. He'd have dark or steel types. Defeating him would yield a third demon that is dark, steel or dark/steel.

Finally, the fourth floor, before the Big Bad's floor, would be the Grand High Imperial Dungeon Master. The GHIDM would use fire and ghost types.
Defeating the GHIDM would reveal the final demon of four. Probably fire, ghost or fire/ghost.
((Note to self, this could be Ampersand, Shook's demon. Must message him to see if he's up for that idea.))

Spoiler: Hello Ampersand! (click to show/hide)

This also allows us to have Urist, Cacame, and the others as the E4.

Thoughts?

One: We already went over this three months ago. You were there. We even talked about adamantine balls. :P

The catchable demon mons are in the hell zone you can reach from under the tower, which doesn't open up until the tower collapses.

We had, in fact, planned on hiding a couple of the addy balls around.

I know we'd planned at least one as part of the "catch exotic creatures for me and I'll make it worth your while" storyline, but the whole point of the noble room is to dump them in lava instead of fulfilling their mandates, so that wouldn't be any fun. Also, there's no way out of it once you enter it, so no real way to COMPLETE the quests unless you've already done them.

Heh, which makes sense for mandates, I suppose.

That's the intent, yeah. It's pretty much the last gym before headshoots (though there's nothing really enforcing the order of some of them)

I know we'd already planned the adamantine orbs, but the main idea i meant was that defeating the four pathogenesis floor bosses yields a demon that can be encountered at your leisure.

Flamewheel is low/med power move, it should be learned before the powerful Flamethrower move IMO. Mayby change their places? I didnt see anything out of normal in the other movesets.

Flame Wheel has the added effect of being the only move that can be used while frozen, automatically thawing the user. This added effect, along with it's slightly above average power, puts it in the same sphere as Thief, another move added commonly to the end, mainly for it's effect rather than it's power.

Although, how do you get up the path in the middle? Is that meant to be an entrance only and not an exit?

Well, apparently the exit from HFS spits you out onto this route, which is why that path up the middle exists. So yeah, it's an entrance only.

Hopefully I'm wrong and/or you have the pathing information figured out!

I hope so too.

Actually, you know what, I'm going to actually point out things so you know what to improve instead of just handwaving. Sorry if some of this comes off as harsh (I tried to make it not sound that way), I REALLY want you to keep doing this so try and read it in a friendly voice. :P

Don't worry. I made the map, remember? I know how crappy it is. :P

Well, I'll give it my best. I'm not sure how great it'll turn out though (just look at the sprites for the stairs). If somebody wants to give it a final polish when I'm done, they're welcome to it.

Flame Wheel has the added effect of being the only move that can be used while frozen, automatically thawing the user. This added effect, along with it's slightly above average power, puts it in the same sphere as Thief, another move added commonly to the end, mainly for it's effect rather than it's power.

I'd still switch Flame Wheel and Flamethrower though. Being frozen isn't a very common status effect to begin with, and no moves give the opponent Pokemon freeze in the same manner as Sing or Poison Gas. Thus only certain Ice moves can give the freeze status effect, and the chance of inflicting freeze is never more than 30%, and is usually around 10 or 15%. Additionally, all Pokemon that learn both Flame Wheel and Flamethrower learn Flame Wheel before Flame Thrower, and they usually learn the move around level 20.

That sort of invalidates the point of the whole final dungeon area, though, doesn't it?

These mostly look pretty cool, Bulborbish, although I thought Dolbetuk was a weaker, lower - tier mon, and as such I'd probably compress the moves together a bit towards the lower end (competitive players aren't going to keep a Dolbetuk on the team past the mid 30's, say, so may as well make them a bit more useful while they are around.)

Also, you mention Crunch on the Carp tree, but it isn't present. Mayhaps you'd want to add it somewhere? Somewhere around 30 would be good I think. :)

Really good work dude!  :D

Have to talked to Glyph about your problems? We all had our teething problems with Git, and Glyph knows the most about it than anyone else here. He could probably help you get it set up.
