Relatively difficult, and you need to get the OK from GlyphGryph or USEC before doing anything, because one false move and it's irrepairably damaged (unless you have a backup, which most of us do).

Yeah, I've got exams on atm too, but when they finish I'll be back to poking people and annoying them with outdated ideas.  :P

Also we need to start having chat meetings again. And possibly work out a schedule

Its git-managed, so its not the fact that it could be damaged, really. The /problem/ is that it could be damaged without anyone realizing, and we end up doing a lot of work after it which needs to be undone. though even that isn't quite as big a threat since I learned how to undo partial changes. (Dump the binary to hex for before and after the change, diff them, destroy them, dump a binary of current project file, revert those parts that are different).

And it's not really difficult at all, you just need to be careful. Technically, it's a pretty easy process, but a typo or something will do bad things.

I wouldn't mind having a specific day to work on this stuff and helping out, but I really feel like the lack of sprites isn't the problem anymore. It's the lack of willing hackers. And I still remain as incapable as ever of doing that bit. I can control the code, sure, but my tools are primitive, and managing those reverts are probably the only thing I can effectively do.

Okay, so in theory I could help with the actual rom. I'll stick with concept for now though, Ill get to making moves list to those mons I came up earlier.

I'll help with ROM-hacking again when my workload decreases. Right now I've got a little too much on my plate.

Okay, I got my mons into somewhat done state. Could someone check what I did from the wiki and say your opinion.

#96 Vesperom #100 Akondra #101 Zakass #102-103 Aquemor and Frezemor.

EDIT: I worked with #68-69 Wambler and Gianbane. Both got stats, some moveset changes, new descriptions and other information added. Wambler is now sort of Magikarp with bad stats, but has better moveset. Gianbane got pretty strong stats, as I imagined that is what you were planning for it.

Goleum

The Constructed Pokemon
Steel/Ghost

Added Goleum. I nerfed its stats and changed the moveset to make sure that some powerful moves are learned later on. It should be really good defensively with Steel/Ghost type which resist many types. Fire and Ground make 2x damage against it but thats about all it has to worry about. Its #104 in the list.
Oh right, it still needs description, something Frankenstain monster style is probably fitting?

Steel/Ghost is a superbly defensive typing. If it's an endgame Mon, with no evos/it's a final evo, Goleum should have ~480-530 stat total.

Offensively, assuming it only learns Steel and Ghost (which doesn't normally hold true), it stands to be super effective against:

Rock
Ice
Psychic
Ghost

Not the best offensive typing, but it covers a decent amount of our bayomon (we have a few rock and ice mons, and quite a few psychics).

As for a description:

Orthoclase entry: Goleum is an armor plated cobbled together mismatch. One ought to be careful around it, for it is a fickle Bayomon.

Microcline entry: Goleum is well known in some areas of the Bayoworld. To attack it is folly, for it has skin tougher than steel.

(Both of those fit into the 115 character limit.)

I added the descriptions and increased its stats, its now 480 total. I had lowered them a bit too harshly the first time.
I'll try to came up with ground, poison and bug type beasts to fill the ranks of underrepresented types.

I'm wondering whether Gianbane should have paper thin defences and poor attack, but sky high speed and the moves

Endure (If hit by a move that would otherwise KO the mon, survive with 1hp)
Lock On or Mind Reader (Ensures the next move cannot miss)
and a OHKO move, probably Guillotine.

If its defences are paper thin, and its speed sky high, it's basically a 'If you don't knock it out first turn or have powerful priority moves, bang, one down.' mon.

Come the end of the week, I'll design some more mons. We need ~150 to fill our dex, and we're up to 104!

If pulled out right it could be pretty cool mon. That would be more interesting than what I thought and it would be fitting for fluffy wambler mon, if only because of the bronze colossus killing story. And yes, its quite exciting that we have such large amount of mons!

Johuotar, have you set up IRC for yourself?

If so, what's your GMT+-? Mine's GMT+10.
