Instead of Cyndaquil, Chickorita, and Totodile lines, it'd be the three I have designed

additionally, I've found my original sprite goes over the color limit, so I've redone the bolts.

I just googled that phrase and found nothing. Congratulations, those three words in that order have never been typed into the googleable internet before! Until now.

It's possible that we could make the Gen II / III starters coded in in a similar way to how Baro handled Ogritato/ Mash etc.

He means have a starter trio from another region that can be obtained in the postgame.

Aye, like a similar way to how you can acquire Beldum in R/S/E.

I'll just assume you are saying things that make sense to pokepeople.

You walk into a lab.

Le three pokeballs are lying on the bench. Perhaps after defeating a certain evil, you can get one of these three.

They needn't be fire/water/grass though.

There are other type combinations that could work.

Electric -> Water -> Ground.
Psychic -> Fighting -> Dark (but our starters have that as secondary types)
Ground -> Steel -> Ice
Fire -> Ice -> Ground
Fighting -> Rock -> Flying

Etc.

The set I have also does the Fighting/psychic/dark secondary typing, so that might be a no-go for now.

I JUST REALISED

OH GOSH

Boatborn/Boatforged/Boatmurdad are Fire/GHOST, not fire/psychic... so your fighting/psychic/dark would be fine, if a little similar.

Barbarossa offered to help.

Also, if you're strapped for ideas, look up a guy called 'HaloOfTheSun' - he's been a fairly well known MIDI composer on RMRK/Crankeye. Been around for a while.

RMRK Wiki's Entry on HOTS

Halo's music on Slyph.org. Look for HOTSOMS. He does some interesting music.

I'm very weighed under by uni... I am definitely planning on working heavily on my parts of Orthoclase after exams though, which is in roughly one month.

It worries me that the last edit to the romhack was in february...

Oh well, though, if this does die then I shall take the files and run with them, and complete it on my own fitfully over a number of years.

So how difficult is actually putting stuff into the rom? Ofcourse we cant put mons in rom if they dont have sprites. We need lot of sprites right now right? And that requires some real talent and not some 30 min tutorial reading...
