Oh, it's possible, just not necessarily easy.

As long as I can get that OCX file, or manage to get my old XP computer working long enough to use Sappy, all I need is a MIDI file.

Compose it manually!

Or write to the guy who did the song and ask really really nicely for a midi.

Yeah! The only problem is the missing OCX file. I have the MIDI files, I have the program...

Oh, wait... Do you mean Fiduspawn Go? I was joking, lol... It would probably make the B12 Homestuckers' days if we had that in there. I'll see if I can contact the guy who wrote it.

...We're using Conflicted >=/

In other news, Close to the Line is finished composition wise, so I'll be uploading that tomorrow. (It's the title sequence number)

There *is* more than one battle theme in most of the pokemon games. :P

Conflicted sounds really good sped up by 10%, imo.

I've added the Close to the Line MIDI to MediaFire.

Hahaha that's awesome!

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

It's truly a great tune for non-benign caves.

I saw it as more title music because no loop, but whatever.

Okay, uh, shoot. This thread still continues to exist, surprising me, so I wonder if it is at all possible for me to volunteer to help write the "story" of this game, dealing with dialog. I know that half of it is done, but I'm still curious about "editing" it and then moving onto the other half.

I'm still unsure whether the project will succeed, but I am willing to contribute in the only way I am willing to do.

EDIT: Wow, reading through the pre-existing dialog makes me cringe heavily. It's entirely ripping off an old Pokemon story down to a T and, uh, the inside jokes are becoming a little grating after a while. The inside joke is probably the whole point, but the ripping off really shouldn't be the case, and the seriousness of a Spawn invasion is probably a bit too much compared to the inside jokes/ripping off.

Feel free to just take it and run with it. Someone needs to do it, and I'm swamped. I never even did the fucking world map. :/

And is it /all/ that bad? I know I only did the intro and the first doctor, but I thought I did decently... :/

And which pokemon story? I came up with a large chunk of the plot elements and pieced them together, but I've only ever played the first ones and... crystal, so fuck knows if I'm redoing some other games plot. I know the intro mirrors the classic game, but it's supposed to - the subtle differences it hints at soon become apparent, but the game is supposed to be a subversion, which means it needs to look like a pokemon game - at least at first. After the initial bit, though, it diverges pretty wildly.

I also don't even really remember many in jokes at all. Any, actually...

What, so the pony, flaming elephant and undead carp are not in-jokes?
