Dwarf in a cage trap.
« on: November 29, 2011, 07:55:13 pm »

ok, I did a search for this, and found nothing like it.
I was recently ambushed by a goblin crossbow team. one arrow hit a miner in the leg, chipping the bone, causing him to collapse while standing over a cage trep. he somehow got stuck in it (it came up saying 'Dwarf Cage' and everything) and I had to release him by building a cage and placing a lever to open it. he promptly went to hospital and had his leg fixed.

is it a bug that an unconcious dwarf can set off your fort's traps or intentional?

Any stunned creature sets off a trap, even if [TRAPAVOID] if I recall correctly.

Intentional.

Makes sense if you don't think about it.

Traps work on unconcious dwarves. I had a cyclops strangle a swordmaster who happened to be standing on a trap with 10 steel blades, turned him into salsa.

More like carpaccio, if you think about it.

I would imagine him like this, minus the robot.

You'd have to be pretty ninja to not fall into a trap when your unconscious body lands on it.

By the way, be sure to release your caged dwarves. They can starve in there if your other dwarves aren't nice.

@ OP: Don't forget to let your little captive out of the cage so he can get medical treatment. Also, food and drink because those are kind of important too.

I didn't see anything about it when I first skimmed the thread, so I just thought I'd make sure.
