There's an official server, just click multiplayer and "join official server". If that doesn't work, you might need the latest version.

Probably the latest stable release, which would be 1.8.6.

As for your nick, just register it on the forums, that keeps others from logging in as you on the server, and it'll be good for all versions.

Heyas all.. Came across this forums when searching for some decent forums to browse, and I was so impressed by this one I decided to join, especially because it has BfW.

To stop beating around the bush - I would like to participate in this tournament, because I havn't had a competitive game in a while. oh, for any of you interested in competitive ranking, I would check out the wesnoth gaming ladder, its quite good.
