Urist A:  Which type of role would you fear worst if you were King Mafia?

I don't even know where to start.  There's so many on that list, I'm sure I'd miss something that really could end my shit.  It also has a lot to do with the role I picked, I guess.  From what I know so far, a day-killing role seems pretty scary, particularly in the hands of a competent player. I'd be pretty nervous since they wouldn't need to worry about the town's approval, or being blocked, or anything.  Just point, shoot, and win.

Pandarsenic: Which would you fear more as King Mafia: a strong, skilled player who's meta and playstyle you were very familiar with, or a newcomer to the forum who was of random talent?  Why?

Toaster: If you were scum (not neccessarily in this setup), which would you consider a higher priority night kill target: a skilled vanilla townie, or a somewhat incompetent power role, like vig or cop?  Why?

Native: Which do you think helps the town more: a killing role, or investigative one?

Newcomer, because not being able to expect someone to do optimal play makes everything they do WIFOM.

Native: Which do you think helps the town more: a killing role, or investigative one?

Investigative role, definitely. A killing role kills people to find out their role, putting town closer to LYLO. An investigative role determines who is and is not town and, when they find the King, can usually get them lynched by claiming their finds (because there is only one scum, once the investigator finds scum, they're pretty much expected to call it). If the target flips scum, yay, the investigator was right. If they don't, the investigator usually gets lynched, which is why the King almost never false-claims. The only drawback is if the investigator gets killed before they can tell everyone their finds, town is on their own.

Anyway, I'm in support of a massclaim. It's worked splendidly in the past.

Also, Toaster, why does the guy you RV get the silly question?

Well gee, that looks absolutely awful for me. I think it was Powder that did it. He just recently got online (judging by how he just posted elsewhere) and then Toaster died.  Powder: Assuming it wasn't you, what do you make of this? If it was you, why?

In other news, Toaster's flip sets off tiny alarms in my head. Something just... just seems... seems so...

THAT'S IT!

His role is EXTREMELY similar to mine.

I'm a Restless Killer Roleblocker.

I can block another player's. I am immune to roleblocks. In addition, I kill my target. If I don't action, I become a vanilla townie.

PPE: Yeah, I know, I look bad now, nothing I can really say about it. It wasn't anything I did. I suspect a daykill or someone gave me some sort of one vote hammer without telling me.

Okay, let's think for a moment.

We have a daykiller.  That is bad.  Considering it was this early into the game, not even out of RVS, it seems highly unlikely this was a town move.  Either eager and inexperienced scum, scum that was constrained by their role, or scum trying to aggressively set up a mislynch.

A day killing mafia King.  Goody.

So, are we massclaiming now?

It wasn't me and of course I don't like a mafia daykiller's possible presence.
Native, the argument that it was me because I came on recently is a horrible argument for two reasons:
A, I came on recently because of timezones.
and B, I came on AFTER the kill.

A. Time zones have absolutely nothing to do with it. Posts are displayed in one timezone, not each individual's timezone.

B. You posted elsewhere about two or three minutes after the kill was posted. That's enough time to account for you sending in the action to Wubba and working on your short post.

I'm not condemning you for it, it's just my best guess. Additionally, Toaster was voting you and asked you an odd question. If you have a better theory, let's hear it.
