I'd second Italy. It'd make for a great change of pace, and plus we don't have to worry about people wanting our vast tracts of land.

However, if we can settle in any country in the world this time, we should look at some random African or South American country. Taking over the world as Argentina could be fun.

EDIT: Assyria or some other purely African nation would be good also, since I doubt that the various European colonies would be settled very densely. Just a thought.

Our booms are bigger! Heavy artillery has been upgraded to 1935 (M1918 240mm howitzer). Since we don't seem to be under any immediate threat, the Ministry of Research has decided to go the "Great Leap Forward" route. We're now researching 1936 technology (Current ETA: Feb. 5), followed by 1937 and 1938. Once we get 1938 base technology, we'll upgrade infantry, then catch up on the various engine technologies (about a day for each), then armor, and then we can upgrade armor and aircraft significantly and only get the production penalty once.

I'd be up for Egypt. Can we secede after Britian gets activated, or do we have to wait first? And if we secede, do we automatically get activated? Also, are we going to call ourselves Egypt, or come up with someother name? Obviously we'll have to get the game heads to rename our country, unless we want to be called Cario or something, but we don't have to call ourselves Egypt, right? Technically we could call ourselves anything we want to.

Sorry, must have missed that. Sure, I could use Forfar. Thought we had the problem though that if it's a one-province inactive and we take their province, it just puts them back in our country. Or would this be an internal reassignment through the country pool?

I think we should do some research before picking a new country, what with the new resource system and whatnot. There's a map highlighted with deposits of coal, oil, iron and so on and another one with rivers, but the devs should have probably updated both by now. My vote goes for Italy. It's big enough for everybody to acquire their 3 extra provinces but not as big as to hamper activation, its North African provinces ought to be rich in oil and could serve as a cushion if we get steamrolled in Europe and don't forget the Bab-el-Mande strait! As the Somalian pirate proverb says: he who control the strait controls the seas.

EDIT: My vote on the new server would be Persia. It's a solid geographic block w/defensible terrain, strong in resources, and it's strategically located. Played right, we would have our choice of which power-bloc to ally with.
