Perhaps those players outside of the mainland could take over two GB inactive neighbouring provinces, put them in the country pool for others to manage, and take over other provinces.  If those new players then did this we might build a larger active base in those places feeling threatened.

Actually, the luxembourg guys got the same idea of us joining him. I'd do it if we could keep the name "Great Britain".

We MIGHT be able to ask them for a namechange, if they're generous. The devs that is. Though we'd kinda bother them that way.

I'll take it over if no one else wants it, I am just to the north.

I'll have to wait until next week when I rejoin GB.  It might be a good one for Nevyn to take on through, as he is also your neighbour, and always after more resources for shipbuilding.

Or I take Ullapool and he takes Halkirk, which can then be set up more to suit his needs?

Edit:

Since I am under succession anyway, I will send some troops down to take Ullapool, then I when I rejoin it can be returned to the country pool to be given to whoever.

So Uranium, move your troops to Forfar, otherwise I wont be able to take the province.  If this idea is vetoed, I will just move the troops back.

Nah, I'm good with it.

Also, people, we are officially at war. Yesterday, around 10 pm GMT, a fifth of a Scandinavian paratrooper units landed on Brae, capital of the Shetland islands.

I can hear you wondering "But weren't we allied with the guys?". Yes we where, until the Big Secession Mess Up. Now they say they will pay us later on and invade our islands first. I don't know about you, but I tend to be paranoid, and doesn't like that kind of one-way modification of a deal.

I'll keep you informed, but if you have any plane lying around, please send it to the Faeroe Islands, which is their next target.

We may need some planes at the north of Scotland too, as brae is a good stepping stone to invasion of the mainland.

Sending my 20% unit of P.24s up North.  It would be handy if there was a 'range' overlay, so I could tell how far it could fly in one go without counting hexes.  As it is, going to hit airstrips along the way.  Probably just under two weeks before I have Baffins available, minus infrastructure increases in the meantime.

I have to say....this (especially losing all that tech investment) really puts a damper on my enthusiasm to continue with this. It's just another major bug/design problem in what seems to be a litany of them.

1st Dundee Rifles are marching to the north. Apparently the Scandinavians think this is 935 instead of 1935.  :P

But an interface that lets you do such a thing without a "This will erase your country and place it under the control of X. Are you sure you want to do this?" would be a reasonable thing to expect.

And yeah, it's a beta. So are lots of other games that I've tried and stopped playing because the beta issues were just too much to make it worth dealing with. I'm still playing, just grumbling. (Although I think has to do more with the dev response than anything. If they had said, "Oh well, too bad" and not reversed it, I'd be done.)

My planes made it as far as Carlisle, unfortunately no airports between here and Dundee (I think, may be blind).  The unit uses 1-2% fuel per tile, and that is about 50 tiles away, so it wouldn't quite make it.

I am guessing Nevyn will need to build an airport to allow the planes to leapfrog to the North, as I won't be back part of GB for a few more days.
