I've spent more time talking about the game than actually playing it :D

Only takes a minute or two to log in, tell it to build a few buildings, and log out. The strategic part of it once we're activated might take more time, but building up the province is just a waiting game. Log in, click click click, log out and do something else. Later that day log in, click click click, log out and do something else. The next day log in, click click click, log out and do something else.

I can see where they're coming from though. Just building up the provinces isn't fun, the idea of cooperating with the rest of your country and assemble an invasion force to conquer other nations is where it sounds fun - and none of us have had a chance to do that yet. Quitting the server we're on would be like playing the tutorial section of a game for a week then throwing it down and not actually playing the game once you've learned it. But until the devs say otherwise I suspect that we'll be able to play both servers at once.

Yeah, I don't want to leave this server. Nevyn, we didn't spent much time in it, but we don't want to wait another month to play. Is that so hard to understand?

You can play on both servers.

I'm not averse to teaming on both servers (UK here, Whereverthehellistan on the other). I'd have to see this new resource map before I weighed in with a vote on what country to pick.

Im in for the 2 server thing, i bet we will realise we did some big mistakes in the near future, maybe some catastrophic ones, so its good to have a backup to do things with a little more experience.

Still, I think we should be UK in the new servers. There is everything we need.

The UK's relative isolation from mainland Europe could make it boring to play. I instead suggest a nation with territory in continental Europe, as that is where the bulk of the fighting will be.
(FYI, I support either France or Turkey)

All the provinces I saw were inactive before are now either in different hands (and some of them are different yet still apparently inactive hands, many of them obviously never even logged in with no buildings built) or empty, so the list I made before is pretty much useless. It makes me think that someone might be registering extra accounts just to keep provinces empty and never log in them so that it doesn't trigger the multi-account thing.

I've also noticed, by looking at the Chinese provinces, that it apparently takes 30 days for a captured province to "assimilate," although I don't know what that entails.

If anyone is planning on seceding and attacking neighboring provinces, make sure to send a message to them to make sure they're inactive (since a new player may have taken over since the old one left). Alerting everyone about what you're doing wouldn't hurt either - that will prevent two people going for the same one, and other people in the country will know what you're doing instead of thinking theres a civil war on.

The period of assimilation is a period in which you cannot recruit any units from that province.
I may attack Eastbourne.
Is it possible to have troops in another province when you secede, to seize the city faster?
Also, what's going on in the London province, with the "Test" owner?

Not sure about Test, they signed up shortly after it went vacant and I never saw anyone ever do anything there. There are a lot of provinces where people signed up and never did anything. One province in particular I've noticed 3 different people in, all of which never built a single building and the province remains empty.

We should have a protocl for taking province. Probably a topic on the forum, in which you can ask for a province and the President and Foreign Minister have to agree.
