How am I supposed to get 1 million steel for transport ship production.

With this game you need to think long term. Especially when it comes to man power/city size (its to limmit troop production I assume), ship building and research.

This sailor is waiting to captain his first transport ship. Who will be the gentleman to build it for Captain Chopper ? (heh might be better to build the escort first but yeah)

started with some cavarly,as my steel is to low to start the AA guns (3.1K per unit)
but i will start on the AA guns soon with the aim of makeing 10

is any one makeing ammo or uniforms? we will need loads of ammo and a lot of uniforms.
it will take 500 ammo to load one of the dive bombers, a Destroyer will use 1041 for just one attack.(50k to load!)
im starting ammo with the aim to export it,
im hopeing for 5k/Hour+ this will be a massive increase for 500 per hour i make now,but it will only do for scotland at non war levels, war levels will need to be much higher

Well Uniforms only need to be kept as high as your unemployed population since every soldier only needs one uniform. So as long as you keep your uniform production around as much as your population growth your pretty much good.

it might also be possible that it is a poor attempt of starting diplomacy

Perhaps as well as a list of provinces which will manufacture units, we need a list of provinces that will specialise in resources.  I suspect that we will need several dedicated provinces to support one manufacturer.

I was thinking that we should eventually get some sort of spreadsheet set up to help manage stuff.

For this sort of thing people need to be talking to their neighbours and make arrangements. I assume that people intrested in this sort of game will be a bit more mature and willing to corporate. Although from past experience in games with Bay 12 people we are not particularly good at team work for whatever reason. (community based around a single player game maybe?)

I could produce a very high amount of wood, but I need transport ships as I am on an island off the coast of Canada.

hm. I could try to make a deal with chaosgabe, since he has the mountains that I lack, and I have the forest he needs. with good roads, we could trade many resources daily. although I am not sure I want to give away my economical freedom, unless I shrink my plank and cement industry, I won't have much room for military production. Of course, I could also focus on building materials and ship them to new people... but my usefulness would be quite limited in that role, and until we get trains I won't have much range.

I think ressources works best betweenneighbors. Maybe later we can have USEC managing everything, but for now, the best deals are neighbours deals. For exemple, I already gaves loads of steel and cement to RedKing, but he'll keep me supplied with uniforms.

We're in there together, we should be ready to give whathever ressources we don't need.
