I also notice you have cement works on jungle. Thats a really bad production penalty. Might want to check this: http://stratisimperia.com/wiki/index.php/Buildings_tables

Building them on mountain tiles will give you nearly double the production of the jungle.

Basically, build your cement works on your mountain tiles first - then hills tiles if you still need more (you have one on jungle tiles and none on mountains). Build your lumber mills on jungle or forest tiles (you've got those all right). And build your food production on plains if you can (you have none), followed by hills if you have extra, and then swamp (you have most of yours on swamp, which is fine if you needed hills for cement mills, but you have tons of hills in your province).

All the other buildings - mines, power plants, etc. - don't seem to matter where you put them.


Anyone know how long it takes to send resources places? Was thinking of sending Funk some concrete/lumber, but realized he's waaay across on the opposite end of china with no road connections. That might take weeks to arrive? I'm not really sure heh...

-edit- Just tested the supply delivery. Even assuming all terrain is as easy to ride on as plains (not sure if it is or isn't, I'd guess mountains and hills and such take longer), it takes 6 minutes per tile. You are 289 tiles away. So it would take approximately 29 hours to get there, for a 58 hour round trip. Which isn't THAT bad, but the big problem is fuel - the truck used 2% of its fuel for moving 1 tile, which means the max distance it could travel is something like 50 tiles - which is just enough for a round trip to and from one neighboring province. So I guess you have to make the trips one province at a time, so theres no way I can send you stuff way over there. Too bad, I have a pretty good raw material production going - could have sent a load of 17500 lumber and cement to get you going with lumber mills and cement works.

Ah well, I'll just dump all my resources into building upgrades for an even bigger production.

I restarted after a day to join Great Britain.  My tendency is to drop out of browser games quickly, so my attempt to stave that off is to join a country a little more in the thick of things.  Now in Newport.

Yeah, Germany has a big head start right now. But hopefully we can rally some more bay12ers and get Britain organized!

China is a long, long way away from Germany.

I wonder how diplomacy in this game works. China is going to be unlocked diplomatically in 29 days. If I remember my history right, China was friends with Germany until Japan invaded and Germany allied with Japan instead because Japan was stronger, and the Soviets helped China mostly because they wanted them to keep Japan busy. In this game, Japan hasn't built up yet and likely won't be invading China. Will it automatically assume China is friends with the Soviets (I notice China's units are soviet) and against Japan/Germany, or is it going to give us the option to ally with Germany? China sweeping across and conquering Great Britain's provinces in India and Africa, to eventually build a fleet and help Germany harass the British Isles would be kinda funny in a "Screw History" sort of way.

Go to 'account' and unregister.  You have to completely reregister your account, just choosing a new location.  I also recommend scouting ahead and choosing a province you like the looks of (assuming you are moving to GB or the like), since plenty over here have no mountains.

I have a better idea. First we bring those rebellious Irishmen under control. Then we forge an alliance with Germany and move westwards to bring America back into the fold, don't you think it's about time we did something about those yanks?

Perhaps we'll use Iceland as a stopping point, and re enact WW2 as it was meant to happen!

Calling all Allies!!

Its apparent that the in game communication system is lacking, This may be due to the fact GB (my chosen nation) does not have an internal diplomacy yet set up.

we already have a few bay12ers now set up in the UK and a few others and we are already gathering momento in linking up and fueling the war machine( still a few provences left to take in the UK)

I call any other nations already involved as an allied to message me (thedecline) or (Tarkell) in game and we can take things from there,
id like to add me and Tarkell are by no means the "leaders" but id like to rally everyone together before the voting begins.
