You start with weapons for 1000 infantrymen and 100 155mm guns. Most people are only using those.

Ratnapuna is up for grabs I notice. Built up a fair bit and you have the whole Sri Lanka to your self and miles away from anyone.

You don't need to train them.

Basically, a unit is made in two pats. First you've got to craft the weapons. This take long, especially if you don't have good factories. Then you need to raise the units, paying the cash, manpower and uniforms amounts to actually use that equipment. Everybody start with enough equipment for 1000 infantryman, so they didn't build it. And raising it is instant.

Remind me how many weapons you need for a full infantry regiment? 1000? I forgot to make a note of that when I used mine >_>

I´ve sent RedKing 10k research fund. We really need to get going on that front.

1000 for infantry, (and maybe cavalry as well), 100 for any other piece of equipment, 1 for ships.

Thanks for the reply. This is going to be a steap learning curve and I might have to learn it while under fire by 2 of the strongest units in the game. At least the damn boats can not invade heh.

tomorrow, my first light tank should be ready (oa vz 27 something). I hope to switch to heavier stuff later, but for a while I'll work on getting a full strength unit of those. at the moment they take a couple of days, but when my factories get experience, and after I upgrade my factories a bit more, I should be able to produce more than one in a day ( nominal time at 1K/h is 10 hours I think).

I think it might be time to update my entry on that spreadsheet. I'll do that later.

Sometimes I feel like I will never amount to anything in this game.  :(

Just deregister and reregister your account. The account button is the fifth from the bottom and you want to press the middle button

re: the "research fund"....I've invested smartly in building up the Royal Bank of Scotland in downtown Dundee, so cashflow isn't a problem for me specifically. Transferring money between users appears to take zero trucks or resources, and as far as I can tell it's instantaneous (credit cards and the Internet were invented before 1935...who knew?)

So rather than a "research fund", we could appoint a Finance Minister who could be in charge of collecting "taxes" (i.e. excess money production) and then distributing funds as people need them for maintaining research labs or raising regiments or constructing certain high-level improvements.

Also, at current projections 1935 tech will be ready by mid-January. I'll be pouring resources into upgrading the labs so that we can hopefully trim that time down by several days.

So... about those Dutch cruisers....

the way I see it, we could:

1) Invite them to leave(given their 30% fuel states that doesn't seem likely)
2) Tip off the Greeks as to their presence(it doesn't look like the war is going very well for Germany.)
or 3) Offer them some gas(telling them they'll have to wait until we activate, presumably)

Whatever is decided, I don't like the idea of them camping the Suez Canal with no contact. But if we took them on... well, the Dutch East Indies are much closer to India than Great Britain is.
