I decided to swap to GB too.
Picked Whitehaven, but I'm gonna have a rough start due to whatever idiot played this province before.
They wasted all the country's resources (including every bit of the country's steel stocks) building a bunch of crap.
Disconnected railroad track in the mountains and city - 2000 steel, 12400 combined cement and lumber.
A bunch of coal and iron mines on the mountain tiles, which I removed to place cement wrks - another 500 or so steel and about 40k combined cement and lumber.
Three separate power plants, producing way more than required by the minimal buildings.
The real fun part? Only ONE lumber mill, level 2, and only ONE cement works, level 2, on a hill. How he even managed to get enough resources to pump into all the coal and iron mines (which were producing far more coal and iron that the SINGLE level 1 steel factory could possibly use) is beyond me.
Thankfully it gave me 10k of both lumber and cement to work with, I'm not sure if it was generated by those two buildings over an extended period or if the game just gave me mats to start off out of pity. I'm don't know if the 100 steel he left in the stocks is even going to be enough to build up a steel production once I have the cement/lumber built up though, my other province in China started with like 3k steel. I'll probably have to throw down a bunch of level 1 ones that don't use any steel just to slowly squeeze out enough steel to build the steel factories.
Debating if I should stick with this poor little province, or choose another one. Best I can really do is around 1k lumber/cement production to start off with these limited resources. I notice Great Britain still has too few players to be diplomatically active.
