That's right. Country needs to be activated. Otherwise new countries will have no chance to fight back enemy.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

I'm considering making the move, but are there any provinces that have both forests and hills left unclaimed?

Plenty of them in Scotland. Cumbernauld should suit you nicely.

Fort Williams is in Scotland, with loads of mountains/hills/forests. Even more than my province, heh.

Forres, just a bit NE of there, has a few mountains and forests too - but not in the number that Fort Williams has.

Alness, even further North, has tons of hills and forests (more than Forres), but only 1 mountain.

Ullapool has a fair number of hills/forests, also only 1 mountain. Not as many as Alness.

Cumbernauld has tons of forests and hills too, also only 1 mountains. About like Alness.

Forfar also has a lot of forest, 4 mountains, and a bunch of hills.

Those are all unclaimed lands in the Scotland area.

we dont really need diplomatic activation just yet as we have no units apart from a few infantry.

we have a guy who can already start building a navy, hence the need for rail to get them the goods.

Im happy to liase on here but im not sure how serious to take potential espionage lol, some of our provences axis/enemys cant see so i didnt really want to disclose who has what and where.

But maybe im taking the game too serious but I like to RP a little too.  :P

IRC is an option good point i didnt think of that one.

I can see this game going far and I feel if we give enough input we could potentially influence the games progression.

Few information for you:
1. When registering and selecting country and province, there is a distance from the country's capital displayed (in km). The lower distance... bigger chance to meet other players close to you.
2. Originally we had disabled possibility to scan our website by Google and thats why you can't find it now (during alpha tests we had many problems, bugs etc.). Link to the game is shared mostly through forums, Facebook etc. Now we fixed most of bugs and we turn Google scan possibility on. We'll see what the future brings...
3. Little history. Game was created by society of WW2 fanatcis gathered around polish forum stratisimperia.pl. First, basic version of the game was mine concept, however later all player sugestions, ideas etc. were turned into the current game - Stratis Imperia. I hope many new ideas will be implemented in the future - yours ideas! :) However level of complication and reality is good enough to start interesting gameplay.
