I gave the idea of actual (and future, more complicated) tech system, I had a great influence on the units and buildings statistics, land modifiers and so on.
Hm... would you be the one responsible for making mechanised infantry (people in half-tracks) be faster, but have higher terrain penalties than motorized (people in trucks)? The whole point of half tracks is that they had better cross terrain mobility (think tractor Vs car).

And for making the Ripon follow the Baffin? :P

Nah, seriously, I would if there was a forum or something. I know there is a polish one, but my polish is pretty bad. :p

In this case, I don't think it'd be an exploit. We're not stealing Polish tech, but getting tech from Germany. It's like in 1945, when the Americans got hundreds of German scientists to work for them if they saved them from the Soviet, except with the Polish instead of the USSR.

I think you can see only one square away in Fog Of War. On sea, we can basically see ships everywhere, but only their pics, nothing more. If they get within a few hexes of our coast (Around 10?) we can actually see the details.
do submarines have any stealth effect ?

Not that I know. They're a pain in the ass to kill though.

But yeah, I still second your ideas Sheb. It's not like we can give away technology blueprints like in HoI. Nor can they help with the input of research if they have more advanced technology.

No, units names are not my work. Firstly their names were like: Light Tank 1, 2, 3... Medium Tank 1, 2, 3... and so on. Someone from polish forum just replaced these names with historical ones, I don't know who exactly. But there are still errors and gaps in these names, especially in Allies and Soviet tech group.

Terrain speed modifiers are still tested.

http://www.stratisimperia.pl/pl/forum/topic?id=734

Don't have time or need to translate all of it, but generally I agree with you:

"To wstępnie sugerowane wartości dla czołgów, reszta odpowiednio, biorąc pod uwagę jedną rzecz: pojazdy kołowe powinny mieć ogólnie wyższe prędkości maksymalne, ale znacznie większe minusy do ruchu poza drogą"

Which means that wheeled units should be generally faster but also shoud have bigger terrain penalties than tracked ones.

For med tanks I suggested something about:
-20-30% on plains (they never move with max speed off the road)
-60-80% in forests
-100-130% on swamps
-150%-180% on high mountains

This means that really hard terrain like swamps and high mountains is impassable for them (speed lower than 0) unless you build a decent roads. And this is also the way to make mountain infantry and marines more essential units, because for now they are nothing more than cannon food.

And in hardcore version - some penalties are equal to -200%. You can't move tanks over high mountans and that's it. Period.

First point in that topic is about recons. Lvl 15 Axis ones have max speed 98 km/h which is way too much. In addition there is a bonus from the roads. At lvl 20 they give you +100% speed, so recons can move even at 200 km/h speed on plains, which is ridiculous. That's why I compared them to german Porsche 911, which first version is from 1963 year AFAIK. And it is a sport car, not a combat one :)

As you can see there is still much to do, but devs just have more important task to do right now, like fixing critical errors. And one of them recently became father, beat that.

Game is playable for now and every few days or weeks they make some changes, so consider yourself as a lab rats and it should be fine :) That's why i'm encouraging you to write your suggestions on english game forum.

We are also talking on forum about licensed production. As long as you have permission you can build units of country that gave you that permission. But I don't know when or even if it will be implemented.

I'm getting kinda bored with the game. I'll probably still log in to do things every so often, but I don't think I'll be putting in the time necessary to be a good President. Someone else want to take over? I could probably get them to transfer it, since currently the election thing in our country seems bugged (says brak terminu, which according to google means either no date or not defined).

I'm thinking probably Sheb, since he's been running all the diplomatic and army stuff for a while now anyway, unless he doesn't want to do it.

I could do that, but I should be investing less time in it, not more. Still, I could do it until the next elections.

It takes a month to assimilate a province? That is way too long.

I went ahead and sent them a message requesting the Presidency be transferred to you.

I also kicked out Savoyard since he never seemed to do anything in Inverness and didn't respond to any of my messages. Skystice wants to take over the province. If you're reading this and DO want to keep playing as Inverness, just log back in and request accession.

BTW, the whole accession confusion was just a translation thing. It says "Request the country for accession" which I took to mean requesting that they join you, but it's actually requesting that they absorb you. If I had stopped to think about it I probably would have realized it. It should probably be worded "Request accession into the country" or something though.

I have 6 building slots left. Should I make factories to increase Malaysian war capabilities or 6 Labs to benefit the Empire?

Malaysian capabilities. So far, the only kinda safe parts of Britain are Britain proper and Egypt. Research should be made there.

This is almost off-topic by this point, but I seem to be perpetually the only player in Ethiopia (I have the Capital province of Addis Abeba). Does anyone want to join me. I promise to help with the building.

Why don't you go and play in next-door Puntland?
