It is mapleguy55's turn. Haven't heard much from him since he started. Perhaps he already lost?

I'd say real life commitments is a good excuse :P

^ Nah, if this was the full blown battlefailed curse, we'd have tunnels flooding with lava for no reason, a fortress layout convoluted enough to break the pathing code, and syndromes up the arse.

Oh wait, you were talking about people not taking their turn...

I want to tell you they were bad men, cephalo.  I want to tell you that with a better overseer the Fortress never would've gotten so bad someone would get offed in a pointless fisticuffs.
But the sad truth charlie?
It was inevitable.

I wouldn't. You know there's a problem when real life starts getting in between you and Dwarf Fortress.

You all turned Swordthunders into a bastion of madness that seems to warp in on itself under its own hatred of sanity.  I'm so happy!

Sounds like my last fortress to me.  Wound up with the entire Clown Car bogged down behind a tree and utterly failing to try pathing any other way into the fortress.

And the one before that, you had the entire clown car stuck in a checkerboard.

No, Swordthunders WAS my last fortress.  The one before that was Knifemurders and had some insane pathing problems for demons.

Oh, I wish.  Problem was, I'd opened Hell as the fortress was pretty much screwed (I'd run the dwarven civ to extinction) and they all decided to go up via the aquaduct channel.  The weird thing was as soon as they destroyed one of the floodgates, a tree grew immediately where it had been and stopped them cold.  I had to sit and watch painfully as about 4-5 demons slowly made their way through the hellish labyrinth of my fortress to kill the few survivors
