Yeah, I had been planning on blitzing the fortress at the start.

Only Aussie would make a fortress so epic that reclaiming it is comparable to the Normandy Invasion.

I must admit, I don't think I've heard of a reclaim that's caused this much Fun without even getting the fortress resettled

What about starting with extra dwarves? I asked before, but no one replied. =P

Instead of extra dwarves, how about if you just get an advantage over everyone else by letting several others go before you and clear out some oft he danger?

It seems to be that there are different FB's each time. Also, can I be added back to the list? Or is it full?

The impression I got is that Oliolli used his own copy of the save, not the one that Loud Whispers posted. Thus, when my turn comes up after Mego, I'll have, at most, two attempts worth of those before me. =P Does that make a difference in your opinion?

Actually I did use LW's save. The wagon, the corpses, everything was there.

One reason the FBs change may be that they may happen to die. On my turn I killed three: my miner killed a watery one, and my hunter, (at one point named ThatAussieGuy II) killed two.

Oh, and Mego... Keep trying. It took me around 10 minutes to load up. Preferrably, do not switch active windows while it is reclaiming. It bugs DF out, at least for me.

If it's in the vanilla game, you can.  If it's something in the raws, well... I might say yes to this if Mego's attempt fails.
