It's nice to see that this is still going, and its almost my turn. On a side note, I just built a new rig which should have enough specs to run Swordthunders at decent FPS:

I hope you did not get that CPU just for Dwarf Fortress since it is single threaded.
I have a 2600K (3.4GHz) and it runs most fortresses at playable FPS.

No, I didn't (I built it for massive scale compiling with a smidge of gaming), but I like to think I finally have a system that can run Swordthunders at double-digit FPS.

(I'm aware DF is only a 32-bit binary and won't take advantage of more than 4 GiB of RAM).
