Native:  I gave Native crap yesterday about using his correct lynch vote as a defense, and here you are doing again.  Why?

Urist I:  You ask Native for more, but don't give more of your opinions.  Who besides Native do you suspect and why?

Why are you referring to me in third-person? I'm using it as a light defense. I know it's no true defense for being this lazy about my hunting, but it serves to show that I am paying attention in at least some capacity.

First off, I'm 99% certain that the messages are from the lynchee, considering that the picture is from Touhou, and Dariush is one of three people I know are aware of Touhou here. And I'm one of the other ones. And the third's the mod.

Otto: Have any reasons beyond Dariush asking for it?

Jack: Do you still suspect Ottofar from yesterday? Do you feel like his behavior has changed your opinion at all?

McArathos: Why didn't you vote yesterday?

Because I wasn't sure who to vote for, and I was pretty confident Dariush wasn't scum.  I take my post RVS votes seriously, and never cast unless I'm fairly confident I've found scum.

Ottofar: Your vote for think is the third time you've voted for someone without stating a case or anything.  You look like you're looking for an easy lynch target, and I'm not liking the fact you keep just dropping a vote on someone without any explanation or reason, even when asked directly.

Native:
whereas I don't think you've even suspected anybody who's flipped anti-town.
What is your point?

Quote
Also, that's not the only reason I voted him, he was trying to suggest that there wasn't a witch-team.
Given that that was the entirety of your case, what did you think I meant by "doubting flavor?"

Quote
I didn't have to push the case very much, people were already on board. Why try harder when there's no work to be done?
Are you trying to justify a likely bandwagon vote by saying that you didn't need to put much effort into it? In Mafia? Do I even need to explain why this is wrong?

Quote
It's not so much that I haven't been scumhunting. It's more that I haven't been as outspoken about it as I normally am. Probably due to a lack of serious motivation due to my shitty D1.
Okay then, perhaps you can give us your main suspects (other than the obvious one).

Quote
Building off of my earlier accusations of you, you're not trying very hard to lynch me. An OMGUS with barely two lines of text (also the start of what I'm sure you see as the start of an easy bandwagon) followed by a three-line follow up. Yeah, I can tell you're just so confident in your "case".
I want information from you at the moment, and don't care about convincing people to make you dead. That comes later if I'm convinced you're scum.

Toaster: Currently I suspect Ottofar (see below), and (until his latest post) was concerned about McArathos' reluctance to vote D1 and D3. I'm also having difficulty reading Jack.

Ottofar: Stop ignoring questions and start answering them.

You are not so new or terrible a player that this answer flies with me.  You must have a reason for your votes, and your continued reluctance to elaborate on them, even poorly, tells me you know precisely what you're doing and why.

Imiknorris: In order:

My point is that you've been avoiding suspecting your buddies at all. Weak, but true.

Reactions and such played a role, too. As well as a poor defense.

A likely bandwagon vote? What do you mean by that? I was one of the first ones to vote him. Why, when my target is already defending themselves poorly and digging himself a hole, should I take even more of my scarce time to strengthen a case that doesn't need it? If I have to put a lot of effort into a case even after everyone agrees, then there's something obviously wrong with my case.

Think, maybe Jack. But I haven't actually gotten around to fully evaluating that. I prefer to a one-by-one approach.

Do I even have to explain what's wrong with that? It's just a sly way of saying you don't actually have anything on me other than this piece of crap "attack". You're just covering your ass so if more people don't jump on the wagon, you can safely say "I was just getting information" instead of admitting you were going for an OMGUS  mislynch.

Jack: Current suspects and why.

Jack: Do you still suspect Ottofar from yesterday? Do you feel like his behavior has changed your opinion at all?

I still suspect Ottofar.  In addition to the problems I previously noted, his question evasion and poor excuse for lacking any case whatsoever against Think continue to place him at the top of my list.

Native is currently my distant second pick, for general laziness and for using good anti-elf judgement as a defense.

Native: Just to be clear, you think Imiknorris is specifically an elf?  Also, I'd like to see an example of one of Dariush's scummy reactions yesterday, please.

Fourth out of four is not "one of the first." Go back and check - it was Think, then me, then Toaster, then you. Why are you lying out your ass? And as for your case, putting any effort at all into it would have been appreciated. You just voted him and argued about witches' existence. Also, what made him a better vote than me yesterday, other than the fact that he had three votes at the time? If you're so sure I'm scum, why didn't you vote me sooner?

Quote
Reactions and such played a role, too. As well as a poor defense.
Saying this yesterday would have made me more likely to believe it. Now it just looks like an excuse you made up to justify your vote after the fact. You're also being vague. What reactions in particular? What flaws did you see in his defense? You also didn't answer my question: What did you think I meant when I said "doubting flavor?"

Quote

NUKE was NUKE was insane, and actions speak louder than words, so I'm scum. Yeah. Very weak.

This is both cute and wrong. The only thing that will get my vote and focus off you is somebody else being scummier than you.

Native: Just to be clear, you think Imiknorris is specifically an elf?  Also, I'd like to see an example of one of Dariush's scummy reactions yesterday, please.

I think he's likely an elf, maybe a witch. Not really sure how I would tell the difference. You mean other than trying to steer everyone away  from hunting for witches?

Imiknorris:

I was really fourth? Huh, I honestly thought I was second. What made him better to vote you is because I thought he was a definitely a witch, which seems more dangerous than a probable Elf, seeing as the Elf leaders are dead, they can't be that as dangerous anymore.

Then why didn't you ask yesterday? He reacted poorly to the pressure, got pissed at the world, screamed that people were twisting his words when they weren't, and effectively failed to defend himself in almost any way. I figured that was rhetorical. I don't remember what I was thinking when I read that, I probably just skimmed over the 'doubting flavor' when I wrote the post because I was in a hurry.

I did say it was weak, but it's still true.

That's a load a bull. So basically you just said you think I'm the scummiest person here. Then why aren't you trying to get me lynched like you said you would? Because you can't.

I have no idea why I did that.

In any case, I read that as "Look at me, I'm being helpful!" AKA saying you're contributing rather than demonstrating it.

What made him better to vote you is because I thought he was a definitely a witch, which seems more dangerous than a probable Elf, seeing as the Elf leaders are dead, they can't be that as dangerous anymore.

So tell us the other details you know of the elves, since you're so knowledgeable about them.

Ottofar:
I was really never able to get in this game properly.

Then maybe you should.

Urist I:  Noted on suspects.

I was going to question Dariush more and I believe pressure Native about his participation.   Pretty sure there was something else, but I didn't save the post (dumb).

I was really fourth? Huh, I honestly thought I was second.
If you really thought you were second, then would you like to revise your explanation for not making much of a case:
I didn't have to push the case very much, people were already on board.
I know I'd like it if you could get your story straight. You thought you were the second person to vote him but at the same time you didn't have to do anything because he was already a popular lynch? How does that make sense at all?

Quote
Then why didn't you ask yesterday?
Remember when I told Toaster yesterday that I had given up pestering you for content? That's why. Although apparently I was wrong in my reasoning - it seems that I do have to pester you for content, or else you won't provide any at all. Would you like me to explain why I shouldn't have to do that?

Quote
So basically you just said you think I'm the scummiest person here. Then why aren't you trying to get me lynched like you said you would?
Because there is a difference between being scummy and being scum. Town can be scummy, so until I'm sure you're actually scum, I'm not going to try too hard to lynch you, am I? At this point, I'm almost positive you're scum. You've done almost nothing this entire game (using D1 as an excuse) and now you're contradicting yourself trying to excuse your lack of scumhunting.

Quote
Because you can't.
You're also acting like you're above serious suspicion. Why would you do that?

So tell us the other details you know of the elves, since you're so knowledgeable about them.

I'm willing to bet that they're some sort of cult-like third-party, like Dariush said, and we should be hunting down the last (probably) elf, the convert (Imiknorris).

Imiknorris:

I will later, remind me in your next post. I'm just popping in for a few short posts before I get on with my day.

Don't try to twist my words. That should have been read "people were already on board after me", especially given the context. Now you're just trying to take things out of context, don't do that.

Not sure what you're trying to ask, here. You want me to explain why you shouldn't have to pester me for content? That's a silly question. You're changing the subject because you realize how bad it looks that you didn't ask me yesterday, almost like you were trying to trap me with that.

You've just contradicted yourself in the very same line. Congrats.

Seriously? You say you're waiting until you're sure I'm scum and then you go say you're almost positive I'm scum? If that's the case, then why aren't you trying harder? Because. You. Can't. Everytime I bring up that question, you deflect in onto me. I'm not asking why I haven't been trying. I'm asking why you haven't been trying. Ever since N1, when I'm sure you were probably converted, your content and effort took a dive, something that I know happens to me when I get converted. Also, I don't see where I contradicted myself, except where you took my words out of context because you have nothing else.

Seriously, quit scraping scumbucket.

I'm not acting like I'm above suspicion of any degree, but I'm obviously above your ability to effectively hunt me. Maybe (no, not really maybe) because you've actually got nothing on me and you're just a desperate elf who I've got pegged.
