NativeForeigner: Guess I'll have to settle for that for now. I'll be waiting for you to actually drum up anything against me.

McArathos: How do you distinguish town power role hiding from scum hiding?

I'm not gonna gamble on it not being MYLO: No lynch.

Darvi:  Can we get a precise time of day day ends?
5PM GMT.

5PM GMT.5PM GMT.5PM GMT.5PM GMT.

Never anything else. Except maybe the night when I choose to end it early if all the actions have been sent.

Toaster: You're stretching to try and get me lynched.  It doesn't say traditional scumhunting is bad for a reason: because it isn't, and I wasn't trying to say that.

This is my third flavor-based game here, and I've noticed a common trend: flavor hunting works, and works better than traditional hunting.  It's reliable and effective.  Also, the only players who are trying to downplay its importance or obscure it end up being the scummy ones.  So, I'm not saying traditional scumhunting is bad, I'm saying that encouraging people to give it more weight than flavor hunting is scummy.

We should, are, and will continue to scumhunt in the traditional way.  I'm not opposing this, and (as I said already), it's how I've built my case on Imiknorris.  I've clarified this twice, yet you continue to push the notion that I'm fighting the traditional methods of hunting.  I don't like how determined you are to make me look opposed to finding scum.

As for flavor threats, I'm a bit low at the moment, mostly because the long hiatus and subsequent new thread devoid of the flavor claims made me forget most of what I knew.  Ecrown and Jim were my highest suspicions, then when NUKE flipped elf I was positive about Jim.  Ottofar I thought was a lyncher, based on his flavor about being a hard luck worker, but it turns out he's not.

On reread, people that stand out purely based on their claimed flavor: Toaster (out of towner, possible survivor), Think (unemployed, possible SK as he's angry and robbing people to get by, maybe), Dariush (light on the flavor at claim, openly states he dislikes the witch hunt and thinks it outdated).  Without doing some more digging, I don't have much else to work on.

McArathos: How do you distinguish town power role hiding from scum hiding?

I'm not sure I understand your question.  My flavor hunting was based more on flavor elements that seemed scummy (like the fact that Jim was partners with a scum player, hence he should be lynched for that scummy association), not on people being hesitant to fullclaim.  I'm not sure how you'd distinguish without rolefishing.

Okay, I've thought about this situation a good bit, and I've decided to vote McArathos.

The exaggeration I brought up is his biggest point against Imiknorris, which I do not see as a good sign.  I want to see him respond soon.

This seems like rather flimsy reasoning. If you really want him to respond, why didn't you extend?

Oh, right, forgot to do that.  Bleh.

Jack/Others: I took Imiknorris statement as an argument favoring traditional hunting and tells over flavor hunting.
And, again, how does that make his statement an attempt to cause traditional hunting INSTEAD OF flavour hunting, instead of just putting the latter at a somewhat lower priority than the former?

Jack A T:  You voting Urist McA so soon after I did distresses me a bit.
Then stop being distressed.

As much as I hate to see this drag out even farther over the weekend, extendNo-lynch as well.

Jack:  Fine.  I was mostly interested in your reaction to that comment, and I don't have a problem with that one.

Urist_McA: See that greened bit of the quote again.  You said that not looking at flavor is the scum's play.  I don't see how I could get more clear than that.

No Lynch. No gambling.

Oh, right, forgot to do that.  Bleh.
I'm not sure I believe you. One would think that applying a pressure vote so close to the end of the day would make extending rather too important to forget, especially considering it broke the tie. Or was it an actual lynch vote that you wanted to cover up?

Sleep now. I've been traveling all day.

Imiknorris: It was a "I find you scummy, and I want an answer" vote.  Think of it as a mix of pressure and lynch.  On my memory: To be quite honest, my memory is terrible in general.

McArathos: I was concerned about a statement you made where you said something about the only people wanting to cover up flavor were scum. How would you interpret someone trying to hide their flavor?

Oh, right.  You start off the day with a blatant OMGUS.  Later you state that you're looking for scummy actions instead of flavor in a flavor heavy game.  So far, this is the battle cry of the scum player, since they know they can't explain away scummy flavor.  Slips can be argued, mislynches justified, and mistakes waved away, but if your flavor stinks in this kind of game you can't hide it.

I said that trying to ignore flavor tells is scummy, Toaster, and I stand by that.  You can't control your flavor, and if it heavily implies you are scum I'm not going to ignore that because your town play has been solid.  I feel it would be foolish to do so.  I definitely think flavor leads and investigation should be pursued and given a higher priority, because they can be a more reliable indicator.

Should we not do traditional investigation?  Of course we should, we always should (especially if the flavor leads run dry for a time).  I do believe that we should hunt by flavor whenever possible and it should be given greater weight during consideration, and that trying to oppose that philosophy is anti-town since it's not effective play.

Jack: I believe I've answered your question already, but in case I didn't: it doesn't specifically say he does that, but I dislike the idea it's less important, and have found that this particular attitude is shared by scum players in these flavor heavy games.

Think: It would be circumstance based.  If we're mass claiming, then a town power role should be freely sharing since that's the point.  Earlier on, town power roles can rightly argue that prying for too much flavor is role fishing, and I don't consider it a direct scumtell to treat flavor with caution.  I guess it's like regular roles and being careful with claims: you just have to determine if the person is being evasive for pro-town reasons or selfish ones, and go from there.

Since we are at MYLO, I'm in favor of a mass claim and am willing to start, since I'd rather we lynch scum today to postpone LYLO.  I'm not yet convinced our killer is a vig, so we could very well be at LYLO tomorrow otherwise.

I was considering to auto-extend due to the extensive period of 504, but then again it was Sunday so whatever.
