http://triplea.sourceforge.net/mywikiTripleA is a Sourceforge project in the spirit of World War II strategic war games such as Axis and Allies (similar but more complex to RISK).
I was wondering if many people like or play these kinds of boardgames?
I'd like to get a game up and running but first I need to see if enough people are interested. I would need roughly 9-10 more players.
Please bear in mind that the game may go over the course of several weeks.
NOTE: Not the map we will actually be using which has room for more players.I might post later here with more screenshots and more information kind of in a hurry right now.
Post below and indicate if you're interested.
Players Signed up so far:
- Ronin
- Unknown (friend who wanted in).
- Ardesh
- adwarf
- Orb
- Spaghetti7
- Berekän
- KatalDT
- Little
- darkrider2
Reserves:
- Anvilfolk
- warhammer651
- NotAQuisling
There are ten spots, the rest of the players will be reserve in-case someone has dropped out/is not available/will drop out/etc:
ALLIED POWERS
Americans
British
Canadians
Chinese
Russians
Australia
AXIS POWERS
Germans
Italians
Japanese
Puppet States
For the sake of fairness I will be pulling names out of a hat to see who gets what country or else everyone will be queuing up to play the big names like Germany and Britain and no-one will want to play the smaller nations such as China and Australia.
I will be making a new thread here on the forums with rules, strategies, player listings, play schedule, etc, etc. If you cannot be reached to have your turn in an appropriate amount of time a reserve player will take your turn. If this happens more than once without explanation it could lead to you losing your spot.
I was tiding some things over in my head and I decided PBEM will not work. There's too much opportunity for the players who do not know what they're doing to accidentally go outside the rules and break the game. I will work out some kind of system where players will be able to connect to me and fill out their turns or if they are unable at least mail their orders in to be filled out by me personally.
