A very odd fortress...
« on: November 25, 2011, 05:16:33 pm »

Well, I was trekking around with my companions in a world where almost all sites are abandoned, until I found a very special fortress full of hostile naked elf wrestlers... wtf indeed.

Here is the save in case you are interested:

Maybe they didn't want you to interrupt their 'wrestling'.

hehehehe thats probably right. :P

Now as for how or why this happened within the game; no ideas. Elves could end up as citizens of a human nation whom conquered theirs and spared their lives, and actually take over the civ entirely by out-"wrestling" and out-living the humans whose women are both mortal and not nearly as open to men, but as for why they would all be naked or wrestlers when they ARE members of said human civ that produces clothing(maybe) and weaponry they can use... No idea.

So then the question is what you did to piss off their civilization, or even which civilization they're actually a member of.

What's odd about it? I always just assumed elves sat around wrestling naked.

I guess that clothes deteriorate in ADVENTURE mode too, just like in fortress mode only you wouldn't notice.

I'm not sure that's it, since elves live forever you would expect massive numbers of them to be naked in a very old world.

You've never come across anyone being irate, amused, or shocked that Greeks wrestled naked? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gymnopaedia

Centration. Similar to Spacestation 13, but in 3D and first-person. Sounds damn awesome.

Or go into a perfectly harmless room with holes pouring magma.

You'll be cured, I guarantee it!
