Items on the ground don't burn up in magma.

For some reason, flammable items on the ground aren't affected by magma at all. Live creatures can be burnt up and they leave nothing but iron items, dead creatures aren't burnt at all. Body and all items, even clothing, stay without even catching fire.

I wanted to make an incinerator room to stockpile all the crap I didn't want and incinerate it, or maybe a graveyard incinerator to cremate my dead dwarves, but the magma just flows under everything.
