Isn't that some kind of trap? We should be seen to be eager to do our duty, not partake in luxuries!

Maybe there's heresy among the idle nobility.

Challenge accepted, I will let you circumvent this plot if you can explain what a freshly-minted Commissar with no regiment would do instead of hang out with his Lord General.

Harass people doing the maintenance/reorganization to make them work harder. Also, start enquiring about the plot to make this expedition fails that MUST exist somewhere. Why would we be stuck here for so long otherwise?

Officers doing the reorganisation are already working efficiently, and we're making exceptional speed for an Imperial Expedition force. At least we haven't been stuck out here for several years.

Anyway, HANG OUT WITH LORD GENERAL. BECOME BROS.

Well, here go my plan of playing a Paranoid Commissar.

Accept the General's offer, but only to check if the nobility is pious enough.

Dammit, no, we're going to hang with the Lord General and become bros so we can get the right things done to SAVE THE IMPERIUM OF MAN!

The battleforce is taking so long to organise because it was down to about half-strength, and now it's taking in several hundred thousand PDF tithes and assorted hardware.

And damn it, I was kind of hoping you'd make me cancel the mission and make something up.

I know that. But try thinking from a paranoid comissar point of view.

Surely some traitors must be holdings us back? People damaging equipment, sabotaging our effort or taking toilet breaks of more than five minutes?

Our Lord General himself now want to go on a cruise when he should do as much as possible to speed things up! Surely he is a traitor, operating a large conspiracy to make this whole campaign a defeat, opening a hole in the Imperium's defense!

So yeah, if only to preserve the long tradition of players wrecking their GM scenarios, I'll change my actions.

Politely refuse the offer, and file a report to the most senior commissar about a possible Chaos cults centered around the Lord General. Snoop around for any "traitor" slowing us down and "question" them. Several time. In the face.

You would let down the Emperor? Don't you remember your Oath? And you want to go on a cruise with a heretic? Damn, we should execute ourselves for merely thinking about such a betrayal!

I feel conflicted...

While the Paranoid Commissar is a thing, at this point there's been nothing to cause our Commissar to go insane.
