General Consensus?

I agree with Zako.

44-H > 45-I > 44-J then 43-K then 43-L

Try to establish communications.

If I've missed anything, then please post or quote it down  :))

MEANWHILE, IN SPACE
Part 38
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

With the fate of the vacuum-packed tyranids uncertain, you take your team on a much safer route. Past the Life Support section, you head into a formerly 'dead' section, where damage had temporarily rendered it uninhabitable. Although now safe and devoid of enemies, it is still very unpleasant. A number of crew were trapped inside when emergency measures sealed it shut, so a small pile of bodies was built up against the blast door, not a scratch on them.

44-J was equally deadly, but due to xenos instead. After the chilling tomb of 45-I it's almost a relief to see splashed blood and signs of struggle again, with the added certainty that the tyranids are safely locked away in their own sections. The damage done to the power conduit was severe, an overload causing an entire section to blow out. The engineers are able to strip cabling from some non-critical systems and patch it back together, minus the insulating sheathing and plus obvious weld marks. It's very ugly and certainly violates safety regulations, but according to the readings it works well enough.

And with that, the power line running this section of the ship is restored to working order.

Onward to meet up with those human life signs! It's important to take stock of how many they have, as well as equipment in possession and the current tatical situation.

Watch them all be genestealer human hybrids.

It's no fun when you keep doing that.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Yes, onwards to Glory and Victory!

FOR THE IMPERIUM!

Ahhh, yes... Killing the ecosystem of a other planet and burn the product as fuel... Simply brilliant

MEANWHILE, IN SPACE
Part 39
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Well aware that the xenos are fully capable of trickery and planning, you proceed with caution to the human biosigns. A glance at your scanner uplink shows that the xeno biosigns have disappeared, though whether they are dead or hibernating is up to whoever pokes them with a stick first.

Approaching 43-K, you come across numerous deceased humans and aliens. Likely part of a fighting retreat, many blast doors are locked or sealed, but your engineers are able to ease them open or cut through the barricades. Near the approximate location of the survivors you enter what appears to be a killing field of xenos, their bodies torn apart by liberal firepower. As you begin to consider shouting out to make contact, a group of crew breaks from some cover while shouting out various thanks and curses. Many of them are spattered with blood, and all are toting various shipboard weapons.

"Praise the Emperor!" one gasps, lowering his power saw and making the sign of the aquila, "We had faith that deliverance would come, but we feared this would become our tomb. These beasts have been at us for hours, we'd all made our peace and prepared to join His side at the Throne."

Another one adds, "It was terrible, your Lordship. We didn't dare search for a way out with them lurking in every shadow... We could do nothing else, so we stood our ground and swore to sell our lives dearly." He gives a tired sigh. "We're one of the outer guard groups, but we haven't seen any beasts in a while. If you've cleared them out, maybe we can get back to a safe place? We could all use a rest, with your permission."

Not yet, we still need to meet the other surviving group in 43-L.

Ask for their aid in finding other human lifeforms, tell them about your findings.

Inspect if Genestealer broods are present.

Indeed, but have everyone's wounds and equipment checked out first. Praise them for valiant slaughter and sacrifice against the vile xenos in the name of the emperor.

Don't forget to tell them that you sealed off the xeno infested sections and vented the atmosphere in them out, so while we aren't picking up any life signs, for all we know they could just be in hibernation. We will have to go around it if we are heading back the way we came.

First scan them of any taint, I don't want hybrids with us. (There will be hybrids, trust me.)
Otherwise I agree with the general consensus

MEANWHILE, IN SPACE
Part 40
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

As the crew give their accounts of survival, you nod approvingly while surreptitiously double-checking the information on Tyranids that the Lord General sent to your datapad. After being isolated there is a good chance that some or all are actually disloyal xeno-mutants. Okay, be cool. You can handle this.

Among the extensive equipment carried by your engineers are medical scanners, so you have the suspects checked over as a precaution. As far as you can tell they are fully human, and as a bonus none have serious injuries. When you're as sure as you can be, you inform them of your progress through the decks and the tyranid forms locked away nearby. They brighten significantly at the news that the xenos are on the run and complete victory is only hours away, and are eager to lead you on to reach their comrades further in.

You inquire about the alien attackers, and they each give accounts that you recognise as gaunts, rippers, and genestealers. Very few witnessed genestealers and lived.

These men are really GOOD at their job apparently, I'd reconmend bringing them with us as vanguard. If they survive this I say we conscript / request one or all of them as our aid(s).

Anyway lets rally back at the objectives. I'll let the others handle objective planning!
