Tell everyone to keep their luminators lit, the xenos can see in infrared and what not.
Also scan around for any movement

The train appears to be empty of xenos.

-=-Party Hard in Hard Vacuum-=-
MEANWHILE, IN SPACE
Part 22

The train ride goes smoothly enough, aside from some bumps and spatters which you think came from some stray termagants. Thanks to its independent power supply the train is immune to the spasms of the ship, so even with intermittent gravity and lighting you continue to cruise along at an undoubtedly reckless speed.

It is during one period of emergency lighting that a very notable obstacle appears from the gloom ahead. You only have time to recognise that it is both very alien and very large, before the tram meets it in glorious impact. Thanks to safety harnesses you and the captain are saved from injury, but the tram itself suffers a mortal blow. It is wrenched about on its rails, the nose crumpled and pierced, and the engine dies completely, leaving you in red-tinged darkness.

After a few moments you manage to rouse yourself from your stunned state, and find yourself staring into the eyes of a tyranid like no other. Its head is wedged through the view-port, and is now trying to free itself while taking opportunistic bites. The only fortune is that the reinforced frame of the carriage is preventing it from moving about too much.

Oh shitfuck, that's not good.

Tell the captain to get out of this part of the train and then insert your chainsword into one of it's eyes after it's lunged forward for a bite. Then follow him yourself.

No, if the head is lodged in good enough we can just behead it right here. ATTEMPT TO BEHEAD, IF NOT STABBIE STABBIE / GET OUT OF THERE.

Also call for your gaurdsmen to start focusing fire on it

If it can stop a train, it's too big to behead! But focusing fire on it would be a good plan. We need to get out of this stretch of tunnel as fast as possible.

We have a chainsword and it's head is stuck, how can we not take this opportunity?!

We're not trained in the use of the powersword, so we would be more of a liability. And I'm saying that we SHOULD take advantage, but we probably won't be able to chop off it's head simply because it's neck is just too big. Stab straight through the eyes and go for the brain.

Now that you mention brain, I agree with you. but with a better idea...

Ciaphas cain has taught me something! Stab the creature in the eye with our LASPISTOL and unload rounds into its brain

Hmm, that would damage our pistol. Use the chainsword to make a good deep opening first, then pistol right through the wound.

-=-Party Hard in Hard Vacuum-=-
MEANWHILE, IN SPACE
Part 23

As the beast thrashes its jaws about in front of you like an ogryn at a buffet (you are the buffet), you carefully lean back in the seat while undoing the various straps and contraptions that only now seem dangerously confining. You notice that the Captain has already made his bid for freedom, and you push him out the back of the compartment to the carriage where the confused and worried honorary guardsmen are collecting themselves.

Taking a best guess at its internal structure (and wishing for a krak grenade), you aim at what looks like an eye and start hacking at it with your trusty chainsword. The beast considers this an even greater affront, and a few huge talons start impaling through the walls as it struggles to either kill you or free itself. You continue your work through a blizzard of saliva and blood, after a few good stabs and slashes you have ruined not only traditional chainsword technique, but a good portion of its face. With its claws slowly peeling the train open around you, you draw your laspistol, set it on its most powerful shot, and unload it into what you can only hope is something vital.

The foul xeno rears back in agony, its head spraying charred brains and bubbling ichor. It takes the top half of the driver cabin with it, wrenching the metal apart with incredible force and sending it spinning away into the darkness. Ducking under a scything talon, you witness the monstrosity stagger about the tunnel before slamming into a wall with a wet crunch. It stays down.

You carefully watch its breathing while you change out your steaming battery pack, but against all your hopes it continues to live.

Check for the rest of your retinue and if any injured are present. Secure the perimeter with your Guardsmen while you account for everything. Travel by foot and in close proximity of one another. Surrounding the Captain.

If the thing is still alive try getting some of the guardsmen up to help you kill it.

A few lasguns on auto fire should make a nice pile of steaming tyranid.

you don't seem to be very acquainted with Imperial Weaponry Daemonpies, there is a reason the lasguns are called flashlights ;)

ask the guardsmen for grenades or if those are lacking, the Captain should usually have something more powerful than a lasgun. As long as the beast is down do another daring charge at it and drop grenade in the wound/fire with whatever the captain gave you in the wound on maximal charge setting...
