Okay. That means it's going to be Dark Eldar. Head to the command bridge.

Warp drive! Incoming spaceship!

It ain't dark eldars. Dark eldars use the, er, web? (dunno the english term) This one is normal warp. so human or orks.

Either heretics or something else then. We're in for trouble. Trouble is always colored fuchsia. And if not, we have the Lord General.

Warp image not related, just something I made while waiting.

Many suspect a sudden attack during the fire display though  :)

I guess the action still remains?

-=-Party Hard in Hard Vacuum-=-
MEANWHILE, IN SPACE
Part 7

After concluding prayers with the pilgrims, you are faced with having to mingle for another hour with nobles. You wisely decide to instead traverse the collossal mass of the ship in search of its bridge. After an hour of riding various conveyances and far too much walking and climbing, you reach the Bridge and are ushered inside. While you might be challenged on an Imperial Navy ship, this is a civilian venture and as such even the Captain would be unwise to antagonise you unnecessarily.

The Bridge is a huge room full of flickering holiliths and other displays, basking it in an eerie green light and almost hides the gold filigree. The front end is dominated by a set of huge view-windows, through which you can see the star field and some of the ship's bulk stretching away into the distance. Based on the map, you're about one-third from the front of the ship.

{One of the Commissar's thoughts runs away in the sheer beauty of the sight.}

Ask our destination.

Don't do something stupid, like pushing random buttons on a battleship! Just ask for a report on recent activity and what our current location and destination is.

Ask about the weapons carried by the ships and the shooting. Ask if you could shoot one of the BFG yourself.

-=-Party Hard in Hard Vacuum-=-
MEANWHILE, IN SPACE
Part 8

Looking about further, you see innumerable crew working around the bridge. Most are bent in concentration at glowing displays, while others are transferring dataslates or components between consoles. You quickly find the Captain, a competent-looking fellow in mildly extravagant regalia. You briefly consider how his family must have owned this ship for centuries, and must be wealthy beyond your reckoning.

Commissar Halian
Good to meet you, Captain. This is a fine ship you have here.

Chartist-Captain Meer
Thank you, Commissar. It is not often that I carry such prestigious guests as your Lord General. Though I must ask him to reduce the amount of work he is sending back and forth... My astropath is not used to such strain.

You see a hooded figure in the shadows, clutching his head.

Chartist-Captain Meer
He says his headache has been getting worse all day , but it's hard to tell with him. You know how they are, putting on airs of superiority and dramatising every ill. But enough about him, what brings you to my bridge? It's not the lance batteries, perchance?

Commissar Halian
That was exactly it, Captain. I'm afraid that the party atmosphere does not suit me at all, and I has a suspicion the best view was from here. It's to clear large objects from the debris belt, in order to minimise any future xeno assaults?

Chartist-Captain Meer
That's essentially it. We pass through many systems on our voyages, but this one in particular stands out. There are many large rock and ice masses in system, all of them potential resources for our foes. It's been cleared for over a century now, but objects are always escaping scanners, as well as occasionally blundering in from out-system or recombining from smaller debris. It entertains the passengers and gives the weapons crew something to practice on, so it's a good exercise by my books.

Commissar Halian
A fine use of resources. I must confess I had a slightly ulterior motive for my arrival...

Chartist-Captain Meer
You want to shoot a lance battery, don't you?

Commissar Halian
Basically.

Chartist-Captain Meer
Console's over there. Just wait for the techie to finish calibrations and you can start the bombardment.

After what seems like far too long, the calibrations are complete and an invitingly large rock is presented. With a simple press of a rune, you can start the bombardment.
